Don't let the outside fool you, this place is great ...

We went there on a SAT night for dinner, and while the outside is nothing to write home about, the inside is. The menu is much more than typical "pub" fare, and includes everything from barbecue, to burgers/sandwiches, to pasta and yes - prime rib. I was impressed. The food was well above average... read more

Nice place to visit with locals and grab a bite to eat. Nothing else happening here though that I know of.

Have liked this place for a long time. THe burgers are great. They make their own bread. The fries are great! The rubens are great too! the beer selection is good. The value is high. great place for lunch!

I was expecting a dining area separate from the bar but that isn't the case; you have to eat in the bar. Minors can eat in there though. This was the same menu as the one in Sublimity and the same restaurant, flies and all. I do like their fish and chips but it's hit and miss on whether it... More

The first breakfast we had was great and we love a good bloody mary. First time- great! Second week the bloody mary we got was brown, not red, and not drinkable. When we very politely and quietly told the waitress they were not drinkable, she was very rude and snatched the bloody mary, spilling them all over the table. No... More

We were with a group of 12 and we decided to try the Wooden Nickel as recommended by one of our group. We called ahead for a reservation (thank goodness) and arrived at 5:15 to find the place extremely busy - not because of it's location (you'll need to use a navigation aid if you've never been there before). Saturday... More

We decided to order out. Ribs- excellent. Pulled pork - excellent. Coleslaw - really good. The only downside was there some confusion on what was quoted on the phone & what the final payment was to be, after some discussion it was worked out.

Went here on a friend's recommendation. I ordered the beef brisket po' boy sandwich and it was great! Tender meat with melted cheese and some jalapeño for a little kick (not overly spicy though). The service could use an improvement. Was slow to take order and didn't stop by to ask for refill until we were ready for the check.... More

I have lived within 15 miles of this place pretty much my whole life and just went for the first time a couple weeks. I had heard people talk about it and never really listened. Anyway, I am now disappointed that I didn't go sooner. We had excellent service and the best food I have had in the area in... More
