Warm, friendly pub good food, beer, and folks!

We have now eaten (and drank) at Clancy's in Sherwood a few times - - enough to know with confidence that it is a warm, friendly pub with (unexpectedly) good food, a lovely beer selection, really good service from a cheerful and attentive staff, and really nice and welcoming customers. The menu is... read more

Fresh and tasty shooters. One of the best Rubens (spelled w/o the e), great mac n cheese with bacon on the side, generous portions of thick halibut in a sandwich, very tasty chicken sandwich with fresh avocado, tomato and lettuce and last but not least - the absolute best and freshest plump pan fried oysters I've ever eaten....not greasy, crispy... I had the 4 Piece Halibut with Fries, the fish was 4 large lightly battered pieces, which were very good, the fries were just as good. My wife had the Irish Stew and she said it was very good. Very friendly place and service was excellent. It was also nice that the owner took the time to visit with us.... More

Walking in it looks like a big open pub but is family oriented. It was quite busy at the time and my husband and I found a small table against the back wall in the corner.. We must of timed it just right though. Customers started to leave after what must of been quite a lunch rush. Good thing because... More

Such a delight to find a place that truly is a "neighborhood joint!" When I say "joint," I mean it in a most respectful way. Atmosphere is cozy, a bit eclectic, and welcoming. Lovely menu, offering much in the way of choices. Quality of food is very high - especially the Irish stew, Reuben sandwiches, Corned Beef Cabbage, et al.... More

Stopped in for Sunday morning breakfast. I had the ham and cheese omelet and my husband had the corned beef hash. The omelet was loaded with ham, but only had cheese on top - they use a tillamook cheese, so that is a plus. The omelet was OK - not very flavorful. The corned beef hash looked good - my... More

We arrived on a weekday near Christmas and the place was humming...a pleasant surprise (and they were locals). Our sandwiches and beer were fine! The service was prompt. Not a gourmet meal but they lived up to and beyond expectations. Strongly recommend for lunch.

Stopped in after our annual trip to a nearby Christmas store and were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, Bacon cheeseburger, Prime Rib Dip and a Reuben were had by the three of us. Along with a couple of pints of course. The waiter was friendly and informative, the portions very large and delicious. We just might add this to... More

Lot's of local beers on tap including 3 or 4 IPA's which was nice to see in addition to the more classic Irish offerings available. This place is well known for it's oysters, fish and chips, and clam chowder. I will take them at there word on this, but did not order this. My order was of a Reuben sandwich... More

We have been going to Clancy's for years and it has improved a lot over those years. Nice friendly staff and good food. Great burgers and the Clancy burger is enough for two. We love the oysters and razor calms. They now have something like a dozen local beers on tap. The patio is very nice on a warm evening.... More
