After reading all the great reviews my husband and I decided this would be a great choice as we drove into seaside. I ordered 2 asada, 3 pork with cabbage, and order of shrimp tacos w/rice & beans. The guy working at counter asked me if there were more people with us because that was a lot of food. I... More

Don't go for the atmosphere, but this little Mexican place has great food and reasonable prices. I also liked that you could order small portions. The veggie quesadilla was loaded with sauteed zuchini, celery, and peppers. Yum!

I loved the pork taco, piled high with cabbage. The food my family and friends had was satisfying. Rice, beans, burritos. Staff was very friendly. Locals like to frequent this place, that says something. It's walking distance to beach and downtown area.

All the locals eat here. Enough said! The focus is on the food, not the décor. Simple Mexican style food that is well done. I eat here regularly (as do many people who live in Seaside.) Possibly the place to eat if you want to see other locals. While it isn't open on the weekends and often closes for part... More

I was reading online reviews and we (party of 5) walked in. Decor is low-key, but then BAM!, the food arrived. After the first bite, everyone said how delicious their food was. I had the chicken burrito Enchilada style covered in sauce. Huge delicious burrito filled with pinto beans, cheese, rice and pulled chicken. Authentic Mexican, go, you will be... More

I used to frequent The Stand, back when it was on Ave U in Seaside...it moved closer to the downtown area, and I stumbled upon it on my most recent visit. Same DELICIOUS food. Great prices. Friendly staff. Consistent. Fresh. And REAL LEMONADE. Get there!

Food is very fresh and more authentic, not Taco Bell. Prices are very fair. Portions are more than ample. Hours of operation can vary. Open mainly for lunch/early dinner. Don't leave Seaside without a meal at The Stand!

A small Mexican restaurant on the north end of Seaside might get passed by if you didn't know how good the food is. On Saturday, they only offer from their express menu but the tacos are huge. I had the pork and cabbage taco. Yum! Soo tasty. I want to come back during the week so I can try their... More

I love The Stand! We eat here every time we are in Seaside. It is such delicious, healthy, authentic Santa Cruz Mexican food. The flavors are amazing. We love the homemade ingredients including the Corn Tortillas and Salsa. I love the Carne Asada Tostada, & the Pork Recession Taco's. They are $1.95. My boys love this place to eat, too.... More
