Dine on the Columbia River channel

Mark's is an interesting location to dine at. Located a couple of miles east of highway 30, two miles south of Scappoose at Brown's Landing, which is a small marina and boat launching location. Pay attention or you will miss the turnoff as you get close to the marina. The restaurant is actually... read more

The location is great for a summer meal out on the river but the food is not particularly good and is overpriced. The wine was not good at all and quite expensive.

On our last night of visiting our son, we all ate dinner at Marks on the Channel. Marks is situated on the docks in Scappoose on the waterway off the Columbia River. We sat outside and enjoyed a great evening. We were greeted and seated quickly and we were attended to by a very humorous and attentive young man. Our... More

recommended by local business as we had attended a plant lecture @ Joy Creek Nursery. Pleased to find a nice midday location for lunch and view. Food was delightful as was our server, Bruce. We asked to sit on the deck but the hostess stated that the one umbrella was in use...only to see her bring out another one partway... More

I had purchased a discount coupon for this restaurant and needed to use it as they are actually seasonal. I have never been to the river in this area and was completely surprised. I was a beautiful evening and we choose to sit out on the floating deck. The service was just perfect, attentive but not pushy or rushed feeling.... More

Enjoyed our visit to Mark's. Had heard some mixed reviews on the place, but our experience was all good. Strong drinks from the bar to start. Lovely deck and as you are floating, the river rocks. Ducks paddling by, and boats too. Tried the oysters casino appetizer--really good and nice to see a new way of serving them! Rib eye... More

We were looking for a destination adventure and discovered this pleasant restaurant hidden in a Scappose marina. The menu was mostly bar type fare but very good. I had a salad with chicken while my husband had an interesting combo plate of two types of lamb. Our friends ordered fish and chips and choppino. Everything was tasty, but I thought... More

The food and ambiance are well worth my sunburn. Sat outside on the patio and watched boats sail by and a float plane take off. There is inside seating but who wants to do that on a beautiful day. Last time here had burgers and they were great. This time fish and chips and also yummy. Fun place for casual... More

A group of seven friends "opened" Mark's last Sunday morning. Some of us chose breakfast menu items & some of us chose to eat lunch. All of us were very pleased with our selections & we enjoyed the casual, but attentive service. A good time was had by all. We will return.

I've been to Scappoose before but this is my first time eating here. I was looking at some house boats down the road south of here when I came across the owner of the property and I asked him where is a good place for lunch. He told me about Marks and I'm glad he did. It was actually the... More
