The food is western fare. Excellent hamburgers of all makes and types. Great beef. Family owned and operated for decades.

This is the place to find a perfect burger made with your wildest topping idea. Be it cheese and bacon, or egg or peanut butter, Calamity Janes can do it. Always bustling but sufficient service in a retro-Western setting complete with theme art on the rustic walls and signed dollar bills on the ceiling. While you wait, sipping your drinks... More

Be prepared to lose some dignity as you bite into their famous burgers and need to grab lots of napkins! Don't be put off by the shabby appearance: its all part of the ambiance. The ceiling is covered with thousands of dollar bills. Can you spot yours on the next visit? I have never liked French fries, but I tell... More

My family and I have been going to Calamity Jane's for over 20 plus years and it has always been good food. It has to be the best burgers in metro area.

Visited Calamity Jane's on our way back from Kan-Hee-Ta Resort & Spa. I live in England but had heard so much about this place, from other family members who had visited and certainly wasn't dissapointed. The food was gorgeous, i had a burger and fries and the portion sizes could of probably been split 3 ways, they were huge. The... More

Family of four stopped on way back to Portland from Mount Hood. Cajun burger, Texas red burger, BBQ bacon burger and kids burger all with fries. We thought burgers were wonderful and fries were crispy and just right. Burger topping bar to add anything you need. Specialty burgers came with many toppings already added. Ordered shakes to go. Mountain berry... More

We stopped in last night on our way home from Bend. It was our first time there. (Pop). Thyra was our waitress, she was so much fun. She really knew the food and lead us stray, in a good way. After telling us about the "Honey loving Jimmy Carter Peanut Butter burger" she suggested adding bacon, my hubby just had... More

We stopped at Calamity Jane's in Sandy, OR on Friday 05/24/2013 on our way to Eastern Oregon for the Memorial Day weekend. Our last visit there two years ago was average or about 3 stars overall. This time we ordered their cole slaw and their signature milk shakes before our hamburgers and sandwiches came in. The only way to describe... More

It has been many years since I have been there but I will always remember how much I enjoyed Clamity Janes's. They use to serve there hamburgers in a large cast Iron pan But I beleive they use those old metal tin pie like plates. rustic atmosphere, when it is slow you don't see the energy the place has but...
