Best Papusas in Town

Excellent service and delicious healthy meal. Also, fairly reasonable prices. Salsa was tasty and handmade corn tortillas were excellent. Loved the Salvadoran options - the one I ordered with shrimp and potatoes came with very tasty rice and salad. Not greasy - no high fat cheese and lard laden refried beans.

I was disappointed at the cost and quality here. Wish I could attach a photo to show you what I got.

Cheap ingredients and poor quality food.. This was not freshly cooked. It both tasted and looked as if it had been sitting around for hours under a heat lamp. If this were a fast food Mexican shop it would be expected, but for being a sit down restaurant the food quality was unacceptable. Would not go here again.

Have had lunch here many times and it was good, tried dinner and it was horrible. They had a large party in the back and nobody but them got any service. The food was good - after the 45 min wait, and a reminder for all of it.

We met relatives at La Margarita who live in Salem. It is one of those local gems the natives know about. In addition to the standard Mexican menu items, there were a host of dishes one doesn't typically find on the menu. It wad hard to decide what to order! Portions are large. We could have easily shared.

What I enjoy about La Margarita is the fact the meat is grilled over an open fire. It adds a nice taste to the food. The Express is quick and good for lunch. The portions are just right to return to work satisfied.

oil covers EVERYTHING. the tapas taste good but the obsessive amounts of oil detracts from the experience. I want to eat food, not just olive oil
