The best Guinness I've had since vacationing in Ireland. Great food and great service. I will surely return.

I have to admit my husband and I are regulars at Jonathan's, but for good reason. The great variety on the menu, the beautiful bar, and MOST of all the staff - JR, Saundra, Jake, Susan, and on occasion Casey (the owner). They are always friendly, upbeat even on a very busy Friday and/or Saturday evening, and are willing to... More

The bar is well done. Good seating, nice atmosphere, great lighting. The restaurant is a great place to meet with friends. You can talk quietly. Our server, Jake, was amazing. FUNNY, professional, knows his stuff.

Out on "date night" we decided to go to Jonathan's - we got the last table available....too noisy for our taste but clearly others had the same idea! Service was excellent and my fish tacos were delicious! Zippy (but not too) with green and red peppers, onions and cool cabbage with fish cooked just right (cooked through but not dry)... More

Is Jonathon's on it's way out? we had a party of 17 and only ONE person has commented favorably on her food. We made reservations weeks in advance, confirmed them and were astonished on how poor quality the food was, how cold it was, how burned it was and how sub-par it was. So disappointed because others in the group... More

I read the reviews posted here about this place. Let me say I have no connection here. We are just traveling through on our way to California. We looked for a place to eat here in Salem and settled on Andaluz next door but when we got there they were used and we had no reservation. Jonathan's looked friendly so... More

Have been regular customers to Jonathan's for years. Used to be one of our date night "go to" restaurants. Now, it's obvious they are cutting corners to save money and the quality is dearly suffering. I ordered the salmon for $16.99. What I got was a narrow slab of salmon on IMITATION mashed potatoes. Sent it back for fries instead.... More

Stopped in for a quick bite, Thank good ness the weather was nice & we could eat outdoors because minors aren't allowed in! We found that quirky in Oregon as most places we eat at in So Cal, DO allow minors in where alcohol is served as long as there is food service too. Our meals were brought to us... More

I had not been to Jonathan's since they moved. My friends would frequent happy hour. So I decided to join. After finally figuring out the new location. I was impressed, despite how small the space was. It was laid out nicely to accommodate as many people as they could while not making people feel left out in the "bar" area.... More
