We have eaten here for lunch twice. The first time we both had the specials and they were wonderful. The second time we went, none of the specials resonated with us so we ordered off the menu. My husband had a cold pasta salad that would have tasted heavenly served warm. I had the cheese pizza which was just ok.... More

This was my first time to the downtown Wild Pear. Would have loved to have sat outside, but the weather was a little chilly. The wait staff were very informative and helpful. The food was wonderful. Would highly recommend the Wild Pear.

Got food to go on a Saturday late afternoon...the BLTA, sweet potato fries and the soup du jour which was coconut curry butternut squash. The soup was to die for; it had the perfect combination of curry and buttery. The BLTA was great too, they didn't skimp on the bacon and the basil have it a unique and delicious twist.... More

We had lunch at the Wild Pear after reading their menu. We were especially drawn to this restaurant as it is locally owned. Our server, Lenny, was efficient and knowledgeable about the menu. I was THRILLED to find Paradise Iced Tea! I had the CAPRESE: Tomato, fresh basil leaves and provolone with balsamic drizzle on a French baguette. I requested... More

Visiting Salem we stopped in for lunch. The Wild Pear was very crowded (in a good way) yet they seated us right away. Great decor and atmosphere. Wait staff was friendly and the menu had lots of choices. Even some of the drink options were quite special. Enjoyed my sandwich and sweet potato fries. Wraps were good. Everyone truly enjoyed... Fresh wonderful food. Soups are amazing. This is the best lunch place we ate at in Oregon!! Check out menu on line. Don't miss this one. Can walk to Capitol from here.

We stopped in for lunch during a brief visit to Salem. The food was outstanding!!! The restaurant is located in a downtown Salem in a historic building. The service was quick and efficient. We would definitely come back during our next visit to Salem. The flourless chocolate cake is wonderful.

My wife had tried the Wild Pear so, at her urging, I decided to give it a try. There were divergent views of the food quality among our party of four; I was decidedly unimpressed having left this cuisine behind in California twenty years ago. Unsure as two what it was about the burger; the provolone or perhaps the aioli.... More

My wife and I decided to try Wild Pear and we were sorry we did. Our order was screwed up, the food is OK, and the price WAY TO HIGH for what you get.

Outstanding soup! I had a salad and two soups and it was all delicious. I will definitely come back here again.
