Great menu

Really great selection of breakfast items. Good mix of sweet and savory choices. Bacon avacado Benedict was great.

First visit to the Sassy... it did not disappoint! We had the Sassy Onion Burger and a Quinoa Burger. Both were excellent. The Sassy comes with onion rings and a sweet chili dipping sauce which was fantastic. Great service. Good value for the price. Would recommend to anyone looking for fun American fare in Salem

I went with colleagues who raved about this place but it didn't strike me as anything special. The burger was small and dried out, and the fries were plentiful but not especially good. Perhaps I was there on an 'off-day'.

We tried the Sassy Onion at the suggestion of a friend, and what a great little place it is. We enjoyed breakfast there twice, and both times our food was wonderful. They have a nice gluten free menu, which is a very precious thing when you're traveling! On the weekend you may have to wait for a few minutes, but... More

Breakfast is excellent, wait not bad, and coffee is really good. The eggs just seem to taste a little better here than anywhere else in town, and breakfast is a very good value.

Amazing!!!! First off we had no wait, the service was extremely good and very friendly. My party had breakfast and lunch so we got a nice variety of food. I had the quinoa burger that was delicious. My daughter had the kids French toast, husband had the pasole, MIL had stuffed French toast, and FIL had corned beef. Everyone loved... More

I've had breakfast in a lot of restaurants, and I think this might be the best I've ever had. There were three of us. We each ordered something different, and all three choices were absolutely delicious. The service was not great, but very, very friendly. We were told there would be a 35 minute wait, and it turned out to... More

Friendly service. A gluten-free menu to die for! My husband had gluten free banana bread French toast encrusted with fresh hazelnuts, while I had their fresh baked bread with Oregon hazel nuts. Really yummy. If we are ever in the neighborhood again we will go back (we heard they actually have gluten free breaded fish and chips!

My friends and I are at a convention this week and are staying at the Grand Hotel. I thought it was only a 4 block walk to The Sassy Onion. It was more like 1.2 miles. However, the walk with the leaves falling from the trees on the path made it beautiful. I got the Monster Grilled Cheese and added... More
