Andaluz is a fun, small restaurant around the corner from the convention center. Excellent food and a knowledgeable wait staff. The outdoor patio is a great place to see the action on the sidewalk and street. We had a slightly spicy mushroom order, gazpacho, muscles, asparagus, and two salads. The orders were a nice size so you can enjoy several... More

Best place in Salem to get Potatas Bravas. The different types of paprika used in this dish make it incredibly flavorful. Our favorite. Cute little place--great for date night!

Well seasoned travellers that we are, we have significant experience with authentic tapas in the Basque region of Northern Spain, the birthplace of true tapas. Since we are a bit spoiled, this place was not quite authentic but it was still very nice. They are reasonably priced, have romantic ambiance and have great service. The paella was decent, the croquettas... More

My husband and I enjoy variety and we weren't disappointed in our visit to Andaluz. The small plates were tasty and we took advantage of sitting at the bar and watching the chefs prepare each plate. The menu changes often and we were a bit disappointed the lamb empanadas were no longer being offered. That said, the albondigas, croquettes and... More

Andaluz is a tapas bar that should be on your itinerary while visiting Salem. Andaluz is prominently nestled in the downtown district which makes it an easy place to get to on a night out. We chose to sit a the bar which gave us a panoramic view of the kitchen and bar (including all the prep lines which I... More

We were looking for a casual restaurant while travelling through Salem, and happened in. Decor is rather spartan but the food was very good. We have had Tapas in a number of locations and this fared very well with some very inventive dishes. Everything we tried was delicious!

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Me, 21, and four of my 22 year old friends decided to go out for a nice dinner. After waiting for 45 min (in which time we went to another restaurant for 1 drink) we finally were seated. The waiter (wearing a baseball cap) asked if we are drinking. After only 2 of us saying... My husband and I tried Andaluz not long after moving to Salem and we truly enjoyed our meal but would honestly recommend trying it with a group. Since all the meals are basically appetizers it would just make more sense than going as a couple. We liked everything we had but felt it was a bit overpriced. We were still... More

My fiance and I ate at Andaluz last night and the first thing that attracted us was the very unique environment and menu. Being new to the whole concept of "Tapas" which are small plates of a variety of different foods served throughout the dining experience. I guess it is intended to be appetizer-like in nature, with foods that are... More

Based primarily on positive reviews by other TripAdvisor reviewers, my wife and I decided to try this tiny restaurant on "restaurant row" in downtown Salem on a Saturday evening. In calling ahead to make a reservation, I learned that they do not accept such and was therefore apprehensive that there might a long wait for a table. We arrived before... More
