a great breakfast place-very homey . Excellent service, friendly staff. The décor is very kitschy but works well. Needs a better coffee brand. Food was fresh and tasty.

Reading some of the other reviews, I wonder what people really expected. Honestly, there are some stupid people out there. The decor is fine, I gather the restrooms were fine, the food was really good in quality and value, and the service was friendly and helpful. In fact, the ambience was comfortable and friendly, mixed ages in those enjoying breakfast.... More

This place was recommended to us by the guy on reception at our hotel in Rockaway Beach and although the outside doesn't look much the food and service were excellent. I really like the fact that the place was obviously used by the locals, which is a very good sign. I cannot eat a huge breakfast so ordered 1 pancake... More

The portions were large - giant pancakes that were quite tasty. I had a scrambled egg which was not great but all in all the food was average and satisfying.

We went to Rockaway and didn't have any reservations so we had to sleep in our car. Me, my husband and 2 kids in our car and our friends and their kids in their car. We were told how good the food was at the cow belle so we wanted to go. The next morning when we got there it... More

First of all, this is not a fancy cafe. It's a small town cafe and it's a little worn. We went there for breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised. I appreciated the fact that they had a "small" breakfast option for those of us who aren't big breakfast eaters. My husband and son had the biscuits and gravy and the... More

Tried this little place out for our Sunday breakfast. We were renting a house a few blocks away so I went to get a little takeout. Had to wait for about 15 minutes before I could get a table and another 15 for the food. Had the Farmers breakfast with a couple of extra sides. Food was really good, just... More

It was crowded Sunday morning in late July 2014 with a waiting line out the door. Took an hour before we actually received our meals but they were delicious if slightly greasy (probably why so good) Even the water is better than average. Service is friendly. Tears in the upholstery and worn tables but the food makes up for it.... More

Yes, the decor is outdated and the menus are gritty with coffee grinds, but I can overlook that for good food and good service. The coffee was fine and the service was friendly, but it bothers me when food gets mixed together. I ordered a veggie omelet. It arrived and tasted fine until I found the little pieces of ham... The store front and interior have a shabby, but comfortable country motif, complete with music to match. Some people might find this off putting, but I liked it. The food is competently prepared, generously portioned, tasty and quickly served. There is nothing exotic, but they have all the expected breakfast dishes of eggs, omelets, biscuits, bacon, hash browns, chicken fried... More
