Restaurant experience

Food--fabulous--made to order--understaffed, a big no no! Big portions and yummy, once you got it. It gives you a chance to get to know your dining mates, as it's a large open dining room (where we were). Some of the locals popped by, too. I would definitely suggest reservations early.

Coming from Crater Lake my husband I decided to stay at this hotel. I have to honestly say that Millie was the sweetest thing ever and so very helpful as was the owner and her pups! For $160/nt I felt that we should have had a more comfortable bed and pillows. The room was over priced should should have been... More

I've found more of these sort of great dining experiences in little towns on the edge of national forests. Prospect Dinner House was no different. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The front porch seating watching sun go down is fantastic. It's a historic property, and they do a great job keeping it that way. Dinner service was perfect,... More

We stayed at the hotel while visiting Crater Lake and had a wonderful time. It is quiet and as old as anything in the area yet has a top notch restaurant and is well up to date.

Everyone in our family of six had a different dinner (from pasta to salmon to prime rib) and all of the meals were fabulously prepared. The service was exceptional. The historic setting in the old hotel was a great. If near Crater Lake, stop at Prospect for a great meal.

Enjoyed Fathers Day dinner but Prime Rib thinner than normal and not tender. With the build up form owner my expectations were higher. Caesar Salad disappointing. $4.50 for what I was served was ridiculous. To be fair I heard after that they were out of Lettuce for Caesar Salad so might be why was skimpy. I did see other house... Breakfast and dinner meals were very good; breakfast was included in our room rate, and dinner was extra. Price is on the high side, but not overly priced and given there's not a whole lot else to choose from, what can you do? Good sized portions, and good selection of wines/beers. Decor is...cute...very B & B-style. Our server clearly either... More

We happened upon the Prospect Hotel when we were travel-weary, and would have been happy with any place to lay our heads for night. But serendipitously, we found this amazing little gem off the beaten path! As it happened, they had one room left, and it absolutely perfect! We arrived just after the office had closed, but that was not... More

Breakfast or Dinner it is excellent! The prime rib dinner is one of the best prime ribs that I have ever had anywhere. It was cooked to perfection. I would recommend this Dinner House to everyone. It is more of a destination place and it is absolutely worth the trip! I am so glad we finally made it there.

This Inn is over 120 years old, and was restored a while back. It is like going back in time, with some modern conveniences - electricity, inside bathrooms, even wi-fi. Only about a 40 minute drive to Crater Lake, but there are hacking trails and short scenic drives close to the Inn. the rooms are named after famous people that... More
