Small town atmosphere. Great food. But come hungry the portions are more than adequate. Sourdough pancakes are fantastic.

On a recent trip to Prineville with a friend, we were advised by my friend's daughter, who has lived there many years, to have breakfast at Dad's. What I remember about Dad's was the long list of increasingly complex omelets on the menu, the last of which was called "Garbage". This being farm/ranch country, they tell it like it is.... More

We are bicycling cross country through small town USA. Our meals have ranged from the excellent to the not so much. The food here is delicious and fresh and the staff, including the owners are a delight. In addition the prices are fair. Especially noteworthy are the desserts. We shared a piece of blackberry cream pie. I've never heard of... More

Love eating at Dad's! Do not live in Prineville but when we come here eating at Dad's is at top of the list. Food is good and prices reasonable. Small town atmosphere and all the locals eat there! We usually eat breakfast as they have sourdough pancakes!!!!

A small town country restaurant that has simple, great food and plenty of it. Service is welcoming and the never ending coffee cup is appreciated. We've only eaten breakfast here, but you can get your hash browns extra crispy (which I love) and they don't give you that 'look' that most restaurants do when asking for something that takes a... I went to Dad's for breakfast on Saturday the 29th of March and the food is very good. The hash browns were not greasy, the sausage links were tasty and perfectly cooked, the toast was light and airy and not loaded with too much butter, the eggs were cooked as I like them, and the service was prompt and the place... We went to Dad's Place on the recommendation of a man working at the Bowman Museum (also worth a visit and just across the street from Dad's). He said it was home-style cooking, a favorite of the locals. How true! Nearly every table was full so we ate at the counter. I had turkey melt with fries, my husband had... More

We've eaten here several times over the years. Never fails to disappoint! Bacon burger and fries the best...fresh french fries, hand cut, and you get a PILE of them. So very good!
