Great BBQ, AMAZING chili!

4 of us came in hungry and happily waited about 20 minutes for a table. They were packed but their bar and cocktails had greAt options. We had 2 couples and we ordered 2 bbq sampler platters. They are not afraid of spice and flavor here. In fact the only reason they didn't get 5 stars was we felt... read more

My husband and I loved this place! The meat is amazingly tender and not smothered in sauce. The cornbread, coleslaw and mac n' cheese are all to die for. The only thing that we had that was so-so was the black eyed peas salad. It's not that it's bad, just not something for our taste buds. We will definitely be... More

As an Australian, having eaten here, I now have no idea why Australia has a reputation for barbecue when we clearly have no idea what we're doing. Podnah's knows exactly what they're doing. Between two of us, we shared The Pit Boss and it was incredible. Everything was great, though the standout for me was the brisket. All the meat... More

Yeah, I know.... most people want to eat the full meal deal at a barbeque place... However, they have this wonderful cobb salad with brisket.... fabulous blue cheese dressing and, well I washed it down with a house Margarita that might possibly have been the best margarita I have had.... It was modified I think it was a Becky special... More

Well, I'm a Texan living in Hawaii, visiting Portland, so when I heard about this Texan owned and operated BBQ place, I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed! The BBQ brisket was perfectly cooked and just how I like it. Most of our party ordered ribs, which were enjoyed, and a couple had the catfish, which... More

Amazing food and service!! Had the pulled pork sandwich and brisked dinner. Both were out of this world. Staff was friendly. Bartender was grouchy, but the great food made up for it. Waited about 40 minutes for table, but well worth the wait.

Having been a customer of Podnah's since the day they opened its a little sad to see the quality come down to a pretty average level... not to be nit picky but... the pulled pork is a little dry, the potato salad was kind of strange and the service is no better than average... I know, I know, I know... More

Got a table within 5 minutes of arriving on a Tuesday early evening, service was great, as was the food. Had a meat a la carte sampler of Ribs, Pulled Pork and a 1/4 smoked chicken - slaw, beans and mac n cheese with chilli in it - LOVED IT ALL, super tasty BBQ, great portions, delicious cornbread!!! I was... More

I appreciated the fact that for Portland, at least the bbq was not presented covered in sauce. Instead, it had a dry rub and had been truly cooked--the meat was so tender. It wasn't Texas BBQ by any means, but it was flavorful. The side dishes were okay. Nothing to write home about. Hubby tried mac and cheese, which was... More

We're back again a in and the foods better than ever. Brisket sandwich, coleslaw and great drinks. My wife had the brisket Cobb salad with homemade blue cheese dressing and she thought it was wonderful, especially the bacon. Once again the service is outstanding.
