Even in the cold, rain, and hot sun, this place has a long line. I liked the tacos and the food but I don't think it is worth waiting that long for. Once you get in, order, and get seated you still have to wait for the food. I will go back again because I really did like the food,... More

The weather was beautiful in Portland the day I visited this restaurant so we were able to sit outside. I had one of the bowls and it has a little bit of everything, but the perfect portion size for lunch. Since I was on vacation I had a sangria and it was refreshing and yummy. The staff was really friendly... More

Fantastic fare at great price in trending neighborhood. What's not to like. The place does a brisk business all day long and more than lives up to the title of this review. Get the carnitas (or special taco) and wash it down with some homemade sangria that's neither too sweet nor overpriced. Worth the drive. Come hungry or don't come... More

I love this place. Came once in February for work and had to bring the family back. Tamales are great and it's worth it to order a couple types of Tacos

I like the idea, but it's overhyped and overpriced. They're food is pretty decent, but the salad is mediocre. Some of their tacos are awesome and some are so so. It's not really worth waiting in line for. I love their selection of juices and drinks, really creative and delicious. The desserts always look yummy, but I haven't tried them.... More

The long line had me scared to try eating here at first, but it moved quickly and a seat opened up at just the right time (you seat yourself after ordering). The margarita was delicious as was the horchata. My husband enjoyed his barbacoa taco and I loved my veggie quesdilla (asparagus and summer squash seemed strange but was delicious).... More

It worked out fine. Line at Por Que No was just as long but it moves quickly. Order at the counter then take your drinks and find a table. Chips came almost immediately before we finished them, . the tacos arrived. Barbacoa was well seasoned brisket with marinated onions, radish and a piece of lime and some other tasty stuff.... More

Went here for lunch about a month ago before my flight. Love this place, the atmosphere, staff and most of all the food. Had a chorizo taco, and a veggie one. I am a margarita snob and they did not disappoint. People seemed to be having a good time which is not hard at this place. Try it once you... More

Being one of Portland's top rated Mexican restaurants, we had to give it a try. We ventured into the Por Que No on Mississippi and arrived just after opening. They already looked slammed with orders. One of the joys of waiting in line is that a server comes and takes your drink order while you wait. Nice addition. We ordered... More

And the camarones(shrimp) tacos with pineapple are just delicioso. A cool space on a cool street, Por Que No is at the south end of the stretch of bars and restaurants along Mississippi that I love. This spot promises a warm welcome, proactive drink service before one orders, and killer tacos. These are some of the best that I have... More
