I've only recently gotten serious about my sushi and Asian cuisine, so I can't seriously critique the place. What I can say, however, is that I went here for lunch today and it was very good! We had some fabulous miso soup, and then split the spider roll, california roll, shrimp tempura roll, and the Death by Sushi roll. All... More

A decent menu selection that failed to deliver beyond mediocre. The California, tempura, and salmon maki were straightforward, but the construction was lacking (the rolls fell apart as soon as touched)... The sashimi was similar, with the maguro and hamachi curiously bland. We did not sample the entrees. The host was somewhat curt and our waiter excelled at disappearing despite... More

Trust the chefs, definitely trust Natalie. Sashimi and rolls were an experience. Gelato was a huge surprise and great.

We tried a number of items on the menu, tuna nigiri, salmon maki, shrimp tempura, sunanomo salad and shashito peppers. All were fantastic and fresh. Yummy!

Sorry Masu I really wanted to love this place.Went here with my wife before the symphony...Aesthetically very pleasing! Loved the big industrial windows, the concrete countertops and the overall design of the restaurant. The service was lacking, the host was rude and the sushi was strange. By strange I mean kinda gross. They put shaved or grated pork rinds on... More

I came on 7:30, alone, with a reservation, during a business trip. I ordered a glass of wine and chirashi, and enjoyed my meal here. Pros: -Great location in a well designed and attractive space -Reasonable (for city sushi) price point -Quality food - the ocean trout and mackerel were especially good; the wine was great, and my meal came... We had lunch here after working up an appetite wandering around Powells. Excellent, fresh sushi. Terrific mango roll. Healthy portions and reasonably priced.

Took my son here for dinner and we both loved it. We are picky about sushi and found this to be very fresh, good service, nice ambiance, intimate setting. Recommend!

I was in Portland for business and ate here alone. The sushi was extremely fresh, with a good selection. Furthermore, the service was incredible. I would strongly recommend eating here if you like sushi.
