Fabulous

This is a fabulous place with innovative offerings, especially the small plates. You'll wait 30-45 minutes for a table, but the Nike Factory Store is around the corner to distract you. It's noisy, so try to get a table in the quiet alcove to the right as you enter. Service is perfect and... read more

No reservations unless large party. They do allow drinks & snacks outside while waiting, which is a great option as we waited over 1.5 hours for a party of 3. Very nice staff, as usual. The reason I am writing a review, as I never have is that all the food we ordered was very over salted. Piaya tasted like... More

Too loud. Too cramped. Too much attitude. Eating standing up? Waits lasting 2 hours! Give us a break. We stuck it out because we'd heard Toro Bravo was the best tapas in Portland. It was just so-so. And having to turn down a table where I stood up to eat was ridiculous. The hostess had attitude, indeed the entire restaurant... More

You will have to Wait be Food Worth it! My brother-in-law, promised as we looked at the line outside the restaurant. We put in our reservation, (wait was 30 minutes I think), There was a lounge called the Secret Society right next door so we waited there. Side note: if you are waiting to dine at Toro Bravo wait there.... More

Fantastic restaurant...thank you Trip Advisor. We've never been to Portland and this was surely a find. Dinner was superb, we started with the cheese board and grilled octupus..we were fighting over the last pieces. We shared the paella, huge portion and delicious, as good as the ones I had in Barcelona. Dessert was churros with chocolate, great end to the... More

It's a great place to eat!! Get there early and be prepared to wait to get a table. Once you sit down and eat, you realize it was worth it. If you can go with a big group and do a lot of sharing of food. Would go again, would edit in line again

We had drinks next door 1st at secret society while waiting for a table. There was 4 of us so we got to order a variety of foods and everything was amazing. They have great sangria here. Grilled octopus, charcuterie, quail eggs you name it everything was delicious! Can't wait to go back!

Visited twice in the past 6 years (one in 2009, and again in 2015). Both experiences were excellent. The food is unique, flavorful, and fun. On my two trips, the group of individuals all have varying tastes, but we ended up sharing a wide array of menu items. No items disappointed on either trip. Like the tapas, the sangria is... More

Small restaurant with an hour wait for two, but well worth it. We waited in the corner area and started there with cocktails and three different kisses, all three delicious. My favorite kiss was the New York Kiss. Equally wonderful was my cocktail, the Basque Kiss. The two of us were absolutely stuffed. It was a delicious meal of tapas... More

Not for the faint of heart. If you survive the wait, be prepared to sit amongst total strangers. But this is Portland so you will all be friends by the end of the night. Lots of small plates, some at outrageous prices, others fairly priced. $12 for 3 or 4 small shrimp, and they weren't even peeled, $8 for a... More
