A group of 6 of us decided to check out this restaurant as Friday evening girls' night out. It was a very lively place, great ambiance. The staff were very friendly. We ordered many dishes to share and they gave us helpful suggestions. Especially they offered us to have 1 and a half order of Drunken Pork since it comes... More

We went to this restaurant with family and sat at a family-style table with another family at the other end. Rustic, loud and friendly environment. We got the chef's choice for the table - it was an outstanding choice. We loved dishes we would have never ordered - the "Spanish Kisses" were an interesting textural experience. If you are an... We went on a Sunday and arrived 15 minutes after they opened at 5:00. The place was already completely full and we were lucky to get the equivalent of a bar stool outside. One thought is that there might be the equivalent of a "second seating" if you go around 7:00, when the original crowd is turning over.

We were driving through but looked up dining choices on Trip Advisor for suggestions. We have dined in other great restaurants in Portland but decided to try to something new - for us. We were able to be seated promptly - I think we were just before the rush hour - although the restaurant was still "buzzing". Wonderful paella and... More

Celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant in Portland on Saturday night, They didn't take reservations for small groups so we ended up waiting for about an hour which turned out great since we spent some time at another bar upstairs from this place called Secret Society(see my review for this place). We were seated in this narrow space looking through... More

Get there really, it's small and always busy. Service was great, food was amazing. SOL ordered everything and it was all delicious. Piaya (sp) was wonderful.

While we had to wait some for a table on a thursday night, it was worth it !! Great food. Nice selection of drinks and wines. What we liked best: Must haves: Gazpacho, Bacon wrapped dates, Drunken Pork, Prawns, manchego fritters, litttle gems, and the eggplant. Very Good: Salt cod fritters, Chocolate cake. Not impressed: regular sangria. Service was excellent.... More

Having fallen in love with Mediterranean Exploration Company & Tasty N Alder, I was really looking forward to going to Toro Bravo & I was so not disappointed. While there are similarities in the menu items of these 3 restaurants, each is prepared differently, and I am hard - pressed to tell you which is better. Try the radicchio salad,... More

This visit we got there at opening and the crowd outside was tremendous. They do not take reservations. After opening, they were able to seat everyone waiting and by time we left, like 6:15 there was over an hour wait for tables. The food is excellent. Reminiscent of Barcelona. The prices are great and the wait staff is very knowledgable.... More
