Took out of town friends here last night for a Portlandia experience. Dinner at Clyde confirmed for them that there is no bad food in Portland, of course we won't tell them any differently :) We didn't have a reservation, the four of us were seated with in minutes. The waiter was friendly and funny and PATIENT. I always get... More

Our family came here for brunch and we all loved it. Excellent food and great atmosphere. A great place to go before heading over to Powell's.

Excellent selection of craft beers and wine. Reservation a must. Enjoyed our meal in the bar area. Fois gras plate was nice but the duck was phenomenal.

We stopped at Clyde Common for an early happy hour/brunch stop as we walked around Pearl District. We wished we had been hungry because the food looked and smelled delicious. We tried the Bowie Knife and Bridge Club and were pleased with both of our drinks. At one point they only had one bartender and the bar was pretty packed,... More

Had been to CC several times in recent years and enjoyed it. It was always quite noisy due to poor acoustics. But last night it was deafening because they had the sound system cranked--blasting some very edgy rock. So loud everyone had to scream at their tables to be heard. Crazy. Even worse was the food. A clam appetizer was... More

If this is the 196th ranked restaurant in Portland we need to return and do a lot of dining. Atmosphere is excellent and the vibrancy of the place was great. The most important item is of course the food and here they really excelled. We chose the lamb grill and it was fabulous. Service was friendly and appropriate to the... More

Really like this place. Had lunch before a movie at the nearby (and very cool) Living Room multiplex.

About 18 months ago I gave Clyde Common a far more positive review. Since that time I have had two very average meals there. The menu choices are fewer and the food simply not as good as it once was. Then there is their wildly over-priced wine list that only had three or four bottles in the $35 to $40... More

We went here for a business dinner with a large group and they were very accommodating. They had prepared a family style dinner, so the menu was preselected for us. The food was all very good and the desert was excellent. I'll definitely go back when I'm back in Portland.

I went to Clyde Common with a friend in late February and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, the whiskey cocktails and the very good but modestly portioned food. If you want a great bar-restaurant atmosphere and haven't got a very big appetite, this must be THE place to go in central Portland. On second thoughts, maybe the portions weren't that... More
