A Deli with Several Locations.

Make their own bagels. The best their is in Portland but not as good as most eastern Jewish Deli's. A write up in the NY Times said they were really special. Made corned beef in their own kitchen. I miss NY Jewish Deli's. But if you have a hankering for corned beef in Portland, this is the... read more

Others have already stated this, so I'll make my point directly: the food, especially the corned beef, pastrami and rye bread, was pretty bad. Yes, I'm originally from NY, but I now live in Seattle, and can find better deli meat there than I did at this alleged NY/kosher style delicatessen. The two meats were over-smoked and indistinguishable from one... More

If I could give zero stars I would. We love great food and ate in some amazing restaurants in Portland. We went here for some good corn beef hash. What a mistake! I kid you not when I say it was black, yes black! Dry as a bone. Inedible. The latkes were dry, tough and also burnt. Wake up guys.... More

If you grew up in the East Coast, you will be a bit disappointed but this deli is as good as I've found in the Northwest in my 40 plus years of living here. The pastrami and corned beef is dry, but the lox is excellent. I was disappointed that, though we were seated at 1:59 pm and the lunch... More

I grew up in NYC and love good kosher deli. I've also come to love Portland. Alas, it appears my two loves cannot coexist. I read about Kenny and Zuke's in Trip Advisor and was hoping for a pretty good experience there. Instead, I left thinking, "ehh . . ." I had a pastrami sandwich. It was like the old... More

This is a great place to fuel up in an ideal location in downtown and the Pearl District. It's very spendy but the Gravlax and Bagel is the BEST I've ever had.

Every time we're in Portland we find ourselves returning to Kenny & Zook's for the pastrami. The pastrami omelet is my favorite breakfast anywhere.

The 5 latkes which were served looked like overcooked tennis balls. Overcooked, hard (not crispy) and dry. Could not tell what had been added to them. The "homemade applesauce" was pretty terrible, also. The cooks/chef have no clue about how tasty, crispy and flavorful latke's should be! Would never go back.

We came here for brunch because it's next to Stumptown and I am not sure why it's so crowded. I found it overpriced, the food mediocre and the service just absolutely sucked. In Portland, there is so much other better restaurants than this place fof brunch.

The food is definitely good and fresh. While we had a particular issue with getting the right dish, the staff was very friendly and worked to fix it right away.
