As a former New Yorker raised in a neighborhood with several Synagogues, Delis, bagelries, and even a Kosher pizza place, I have a chip on my shoulder about what a "real delicatessen" is supposed to be. All New Yorkers say this, by the way. So when friends here in Portland, OR, decided we should go to yet another "NY style"... More

I've visited Kenny & Zuke's multiple times, both for breakfast and lunch, and have never been disappointed. The variety of benedicts for breakfast are unique and delicious, while the pastrami and corned beef make for amazing sandwiches. Their assortment of beers and other beverages aren't your average drink list, either. This funky place almost always has a line, but seating... More

I found this place last year and had a very good reubens on rye. This year I tried their breakfast along with another reuben plus a tasty knish. I don't think you can go wrong eating here.

We met some locals for breakfast here two days ago and it was perfect. First, the 6 of us had a table for 8 - so the squirmy ones could do just that. One year old Nora LOVED the French toast - a bite on a fork and a bite in the hand. We had very good eggs w fixings.... More

Latkes with house made apple sauce and sour cream, A side of eggs and thick cut turkey pastrami. my mouth is watering just thinking about it. We shared the latke stack and each had one egg and a slice of the pastrami. We left happy and replete. The food was reasonably priced for a breakfast and the flavour brought my... More

Thanks to our friend Ken, we had a most glorious and satisfying lunch on a equally glorious and sunny Sunday in Portland! I normally go for the veggie options, but Ken told us no one does pastrami like Kenny and Zukes! And so I shared a Ruben sandwich with my friend Zoye because it way too much for my little... More

Kenny and Zuke's downtown deli is a West Coast version of an East coast deli...portions are huge and served up tasty. They offer everything you'd expect on a deli -menu from lox, onion omelettes to chicken soup... + make their own bagels and bialleys which one can order instead of toast for an extra buck. I had the salmon hash,... More

By far the best Cornbeef and Pastrami in town. You won`t be disappointed here. We try and get downtown to this restaurant as often as we can. What a treat. The sandwiches and huge, not cheap but worth the cost. The wife and I split one with soup. Its a New York Deli right here in Portland.

Fabulous breakfast the day before the Portland marathon. So good we went back for more. At lunch, order the pickled vegetables, you won't be disappointed.

Across the street from the Mark Spencer hotel, serves nice, contemporary comfort food. Service at lunch time was acceptable due to the volume, but the food certainly deserved the wait. Also advertised several theme dinners in upcoming weeks. Sounded interesting.
