Excellent Smoked Nova Lox and Bagels

Had a pastrami sandwich for lunch which was lacking meat- VERY thin. Had a bagel with cream cheese and nova lox for breakfast twice which was outstanding- stick with the nova lox.

After a fellow traveler at our hotel highly recommended it, we decided to walk a couple of blocks to Kenny & Zuke's instead of eating breakfast at the hotel restaurant. From outside, we saw that there were plenty of available tables. We walked in but received no real greeting. This tall, unfriendly gal just walked us to a table and... More

This is our fifth and last visit. As always, staff is very attentive. Our first 2 visits were pretty good, but all down hill from there. Their meats are dry and tasteless. Pastrami should be fatty and moist; not dry and the texture of cardboard. Their Breads are old and stale. The House-made Blue cheese is bland and not worthy... More

We saw KandZ's at the Ace Hotel and went in for a late lunch. They did NOT look happy to see us and just walked off, leaving two menus on the only clean table in a sea of uncleared tables. We assumed it was for us. Another guy then came to enquire why we'd seated ourselves. The food around us... More

If you don't mind several people's hands touching your food and a filthy kitchen then by all means eat at Kenny and Zuke's. We recently visited Portland and this eatery was recommended to us. The wait to get our food was over an hour and it was disgusting watching the kitchen help making the food and touching everything. Can't believe... More

We went for Saturday brunch. The place looked cool so we had high expectations. Unfortunately the service was slow and the food was nothing special. I had the breakfast dog, which was bland. My husband had the eggs Benedictine, which was drowning in sauce. Very, very average.

I am biased. Kenny and Zuke's meets and beats NYC standards. Their home-cured pastrami made me like pastrami all over again. Like any good deli, not for the faint of calories or fatty-phobic. Oh, and the bagels based on Michael Zusman's recipe are to die for.

If I'm paying $15 for a reuben (no sides) I expect it to be a sandwich to remember and I shouldn’t be able to finish it in one meal. This used to be the case, but servings have changed. Sides are no longer included, and cost $3 for a tiny bowl. I ordered the beef pastrami reuben, as usual. The... More

Delicious, large portions served in a high ceilinged dining room. Full breakfasts and omelets, with thick sliced pastrami seared to a crunchy crust on the griddle, offered as well as Latkes or home fries. Of course, bagels and bialys also available. I did not get to eat but breakfast there, but on Wednesday evenings they apparently have a fried chicken... More

Love this place. Wonderful deli sandwiches. I had corned beef and my husband had roast beef. Also great french fries. Bill was $17.25.
