We've heard about Pok Pok for years. We've also been to Thailand and loved its street food. Coming to Pok Pok was on our list of things to do in Portland and it did not disappoint. We were a group of 8 and actually changed our lunch reservations (they take reservations for parties larger than 5 people) to dinner without... More

We were visiting PDX and looked into this place on the DDD show and Guy's recommendation. The wings were amazing and we should have ordered two of those. We also loved the boar and the flavors literally explode in your mouth. Great food experience and not your normal Thai food. It was a little pricy as the tables seemed like... More

Pok Pok We asked friends to suggest a place to eat while we were in Portland. Everybody that we talked to recommended Pok Pok. Even the guide books suggested this place. They were all correct. What a place! We took the bus to this neighborhood in East Portland. Pok Pok is in a former house. It looks like a dive,... More

Our first visit and finally were able to try their famous chicken wings. Very tastey though a bit messy to eat but worth the sticky fingers afterwards. My partner ordered their 'whole bird' Kai Yaang which is also one of their signature dishes. While the two dipping sauces were excellent the chicken was dry and over cooked and totally uninspiring.

On my first day in Portland I went to a wonderful market in the Hawthorne district and this place was recommended by them. My daughter said she always saw lines in front of this restaurant. We were there early enough to be be able to be seated immediately. The food is fusion Asian and done very well. The cocktail mixes... More

Roast chicken with dipping sauces. Wonderful sticky rice. Creative salads and mains. Cherry and satsuma drinking vinegar sodas. Great alcohol choices! Pricy but worth it.

So we went to Pok Pok because of all that positive reviews everyone was giving the establishment. I have to say I wasn't impressed at all! The waiter was definitely receptive and did his job well, but the food was at best average. The worst part of all were the plate sizes!! Such small portions for such a big bill.... More

While traveling to Block and Tackle for dinner our first night, we were a bit distressed to learn (after walking a mile and a half) that it was closed. Luckily for us, Pok Pok wasn't too much further up the road and so there we headed. We were put on the wait list and told that we could wait at... More

I made a 36 hour trip to Portland to surprise a friend and basically ate my way through Portland! Pok Pok was the choice for dinner on Saturday night. I was told by my friends that the owner of Pok Pok travelled extensively in Thailand and brought back his favorite street Thai food recipes to share. The place was packed... More

While in town for a convention, some friends wanted to dine here as they had heard great reviews for this place. I wasn't excited as it is quite a trek from downtown and long waits for tables are the norm. However, a desk clerk at our hotel got us on the wait list for 20:00, so once we only had... More
