Famous Thai Place not run by Thais

I wanted to check this place out because of all the hype from food celebrities, Anthony Bourdain in particular. I got there past 2:00pm and there was only a 10 minute wait for 1 person. The check in girl was not friendly or smiley, she just told me she would have a seat at the bar area ready in... read more

I loved the fact that they had prawn crackers, which I haven't seen on this side of the pond like ever. So the best part about prawn crackers is piling all your yummy goodness on top as I did with my noodles and shrimp dish which was the perfect amount of spice. We also had the wings with fish sauce,... More

first night we tried, there was a 2 hour wait so we went to Bollywood instead. the next day we walked right in. wings were moist and well seasoned. favorite were the wingbeans and the limeade but everything was excellent. waiter's advice was great in pairing dishes and service was fast and excellent.

The food was wonderful - there is no taking away from that! But! The menu was quite a chore. We for the most part had little idea of what we were ordering. Serving their food family style is fine, but when we ordered a chicken dish, a beef dish, and a pork dish and a soup, we were very surprised... More

Had heard about this restaurant for years and it did not disappoint. Really great cocktails to start with infused vinegars, the chicken wings to start were stupid good (honestly amazing) and all of our mains were so perfectly prepared and tasted so great - a dining highlight of a good life of dining :)

Just exceptional on all point from the bar across the street, the sophisticated notification system, knowledgable staff, missed nothing on service! And the food oh the food! Flavor I only find in Thailand and Thailand chic at that.

My husband and I came here on a Sunday night and were quoted a 30-45 minute wait. We went across the street to the sister establishment Whisky Soda Lounge -- told them we were waiting for Pok Pok -- and had a drink and a pre-dinner order of their famous Vitenamese Fish Sauce Wings (spicy). We were notified by the... More

This is considered one of the must visit spots in Portland so off we went! Funky, fun place with a rustic hut like atmosphere. Our server was enthusiastic and delightful. Yes we had the wings and yes they were wonderful. The papaya salad was wonderful, but BIG spice! Be prepared. Soups that we had were actually a little bland. Drinks... More

Pok Pok is by far the best Thai food I have ever had. The wings are a must have, but we haven't had a bad dish. Must enjoy spice, although some options aren't and have been devoured by my 10 year old. If in Portland, make this a priority! One negative, the room temp water, just my personal dislike, wife... The food is simply phenomenal. Order everything! My new favorite Thai food Mecca. I will happily make the 4-hour drive to melt my face off with the boar collar. Oh, and the mango sticky rice is a luxury.
