Authentic Northern Thai Food

There is a reason why people will wait in line, outside, in the rain. Pok Pok offers a very authentic Thai experience. It's not like your normal Thai restaurant - their menu is inspired by Northern Thai cuisine and makes you feel like you're in Chiang Mai! Very unique dishes, lots of flavor, and... read more

This is another one of those places where you go in with super high expectations and it fell a little flat. We had the pork skewers, ok but nothing special. The curry soup, which actually was really nice and the pok pok salad. I think the salad could have been delicious, but I was literally not able to eat it.... More

We visited this restaurant after having folks from home recommend, but we're not thrilled with it. The waitress was super nice, very helpful in explaining things and making suggestions. We tried the wings and for me, they were weird, fishy tasting. The drinking water was fishy tasting, and the smell was fishy. We had a shrimp/pork dish with these thin... More

This is great place for family and friends and large groups. It was raining the night we went but still fun.

Great Thai street food menu - unique dishes not commonly found in your typical Thai restaurant. We arrived about 9pm and had a 20-minute wait. We took 2 available seats at the bar and tried a variety of things on the menu - all great.

When I visit my sister in Portland the chicken wings from Pok Pok is a must. If you just want the chicken wings they serve the same ones at the bar across the street on the corner. This is also the place they suggest you go wait if the waiting for the restaurant is too long. We often just pick-up... More

I enjoyed my meal, (grilled half chicken, prawns and a sliced steak, shared between two) I think I may have been building it up too much in my mind, since I've been wanting to go here for so long. I was good, but not revolutionary. Nice fresh ingredients, good flavour combinations (think Thai meets mexican) I had one of their... More

We got there early since it's so busy. The experience started with a walk below the permanent tents and found a place to sit inside . We were told that this was a "street style Thai" so we ordered a beef salad , some chicken wigs and a couple other items off the menu. We were asked if we wanted... More

Great restaurant. One of Portland's best. SE Asia influence to menu. No reservations. Bar across for waiting for table. Owner is famous and has a restaurant in NYC & another in Portland. Did a show with Anthony Bourdain on Thailand cuisine.

For local foodies POK POK is a great place to take out of towners that want the Portland vibe. It has it all Funky part of town that was originally a home, indoor and outdoor eating and food that can't be best for the price The owner Andy Richter is nationally known and I've never seem them when they're not...
