Cozy, shared tables and glorious food

Truly excellent service, equalling the best anywhere in USA. The food was extraordinary. Don't exoect a romantic dinner for two though. They are big long tables that are shared. And it so happens that we met a lovely couple next to us. We all knew the rules and we chatted and laughed and then... read more

We enjoyed a great evening. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing which was extraordinary. There is row table seating as in Europe which We enjoyed very much. Would recommend making reservations at least 2-3 weeks ahead of time.

We have heard about this restaurant since moving to Portland five years ago, but somehow were a little skeptical of the rave reviews and never got a round to going there. We sat at the counter where we could watch the chefs and talk to them. Menu didn't seem too exciting, but food was unbelievably good. Great sauces. Service was... More

Le Pigeon is very small and charming. We had the tasting menu--- every course unique and interesting, nothing common. Pairings of flavors in the food and wine were indescribable. Our waitress and the entire staff were casually elegant and knowledgeable. A perfect place for when anything normal will not do.

My friend and I visited on April 10th during our trip to Portland. Read very good reviews about the place so we decided to give it a try. We also read as a warning that we might wait a while and sure thing, we waited over 1 hour to be seated. Luckily there is a bar right next door so... More

We had looked forward to eating here because we had a great meal at their sister restaurant in Portland, Little Bird. Reservations are hard to get because it's a small place. They only offered a tasting menu, no a la carte. When our group ordered and explained that one of us needed gluten free, my wife and I ate no... More

A great special occasion restaurant that offers precise, well combined flavors with unique variety. We had a fantastic meal and brought several nice bottles of wine. The 5 course tasting meal was a good amount of food and the pacing was good. My only complaint was the atmosphere...which has more to do with the old-ish character of the building. It's... More

I eat here occasionally, and always love what I get. Go with a good appetite. You will want to get appetizers, meal and dessert.

Only came to Portland for one night and had to choose my dinner carefully. Le Pigeon got plenty of high recommendation online and I can't stress enough how all those positive reviews are true. The food is exquisite, fresh and accurate. I was lucky enough to sit at the bar and see the three young chefs in action. The service... More

As a native Portlander, I've eaten at a lot of restaurants in this city and this is by far my favorite restaurant. I also like their other restaurant Little Bird, esp for lunch. Try the boeuf bourguignon and anything w fois gros.
