Food, service and atmosphere are great!

We'll definitely return. We enjoyed a nice dinner here on a Sunday evening. It started to fill up and get lively about 6:30 or so. The atmosphere was complimented by the live classical guitar music and the great staff. They have a great kids' menu and it was nice to have families with kids... read more

Our party of 6 adults and one toddler had a wonderful evening here on Sunday. The service was friendly and attentive, the menu was very nice and offered gluten free options needed by some in our party, and a nice bit of music played by a gentleman on a guitar played softly in the background. it's a tad on the... Joined awesome friends for a great B-Day surprise dinner party. Food was really good, drinks delicious and staff friendly, helpful and just fun! Great spot for a nice meal in the cool area of Hawthorne!

Nothing was death dealing here but the food was honestly prepared. The pizza, mushroom and pancetta was a little salty and the crust was thicker than I remembered as a result we didn't need bread. The butter leaf salad was delicately prepared with gorgonzola dolce, the pasta with clams in a cream sauce with red pepper and kale was good.... More

I really wish Tripadvisor would allow for half stars as a lot of situations warrant such a rating and I really feel this is a 3 and a half star situation. Anyway, After not finding any openings for large groups on Saturday night for some of the restaurants I wanted to try in Portland (Yea I know who looks for... More

My BF and I went here recently for dinner. We both had not previously heard of Iorio but BF found it while scouring a number of sources for dining out ideas so we thought we'd give it a try. We had the cheese board for an appetizer. It was huge. It consisted of three cheeses, candied nuts, butternut squash spread,... More

I have a complicated relationship with this restaurant. A few years back, I had a very good dinner with my wife here. We were very happy that we had "found" this really good Italian restaurant. Then another really nice dinner with my daughters who were then rather young and it was just a dinner with them and me at a... More

An okay place trying to be upper end... prices too high and the food uninteresting... nice people but they need to kick it up a notch.

Had their calamari: tender and pretty good. The clam Caserecci had a good texture. Vould not taste the clams as the sauce was overpowering. The lamb ragu' tagliatelle (or wide fettuccine) had good texture. Sauce was excessive, super overpowering the lamb. Green olives (!!), gobs of herbs (except the right ones), acidity was too high (tomato and citrus). To be... More

We were there at 6:30 on a Thursday and the restaurant was only half full. I think they probably don't get a lot of foot traffic because the neighborhood seems to be light industrial and not surrounded by homes like restaurants on Burnside. The ambiance was candle lit dark woods and dark walls and we were greeted by friendly staff.... More
