Wonderful dinner Excellent Service

My BF and I went here recently for dinner. We both had not previously heard of Iorio but BF found it while scouring a number of sources for dining out ideas so we thought we'd give it a try. We had the cheese board for an appetizer. It was huge. It consisted of three cheeses, candied nuts... read more

I really wish Tripadvisor would allow for half stars as a lot of situations warrant such a rating and I really feel this is a 3 and a half star situation. Anyway, After not finding any openings for large groups on Saturday night for some of the restaurants I wanted to try in Portland (Yea I know who looks for... More

I have a complicated relationship with this restaurant. A few years back, I had a very good dinner with my wife here. We were very happy that we had "found" this really good Italian restaurant. Then another really nice dinner with my daughters who were then rather young and it was just a dinner with them and me at a... More

An okay place trying to be upper end... prices too high and the food uninteresting... nice people but they need to kick it up a notch.

Had their calamari: tender and pretty good. The clam Caserecci had a good texture. Vould not taste the clams as the sauce was overpowering. The lamb ragu' tagliatelle (or wide fettuccine) had good texture. Sauce was excessive, super overpowering the lamb. Green olives (!!), gobs of herbs (except the right ones), acidity was too high (tomato and citrus). To be... More

We were there at 6:30 on a Thursday and the restaurant was only half full. I think they probably don't get a lot of foot traffic because the neighborhood seems to be light industrial and not surrounded by homes like restaurants on Burnside. The ambiance was candle lit dark woods and dark walls and we were greeted by friendly staff.... More

The food was great and the service was very good. We were given a window table which was very nice. The lamb ragout was delicious and had leftovers for next day lunch. Yum Yum

Our first experience at Iorio was wonderful. Our group was seated promptly and our server was attentive. Three out of five of us had the Ragout of Lamb and it was wonderful. The house made pasta was al dente and the sauce had just the correct spiciness. The other two dishes got rave reviews also. Check this place out for... More

We were looking for a good restaurant for our wedding anniversary. We read about this one so made reservations. We were not disappointed. I had made an annotation about celebrating our anniversary so they had saved this lovely romantic table for 2 for us. Our waiter was friendly, with just the right amount of attention to us. The food, was... More

Excellent food; nice ambience; attentive service. We had a terrific time celebrating our wedding anniversary here. The ingredients were all fresh, and prepared by someone who really appeared to enjoy cooking. The portions were genrous and the prices fair. This was our first time. We will be back.
