Alameda Brewhouse

Large list of craft brews. Delicious burger, shrimp taco and burrito. Everything was good. Helpful staff and attentive to all our needs. Not too loud even though there were families and small children.

Went here with family for dinner. My daughter had the crab bisque, which was wonderful. Other family members dinners were mediocre, but edible. I had the crab cakes, which were the worst crab cakes I've ever eaten (or tried to eat). Flavorless grey meat, fried in just this side of rancid oil, sitting in a gelatinous pool of hollandaise sauce.... More

We had our Motel close to the brewery and we decided to try it out. Surprisingly nice beer and excellent music. We had dinner there and the food was good as well quiet and familiar atmosphere but with a Sports bar touch.

We went for trivia night, which may not have been the best night to try this place. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, but it seemed like she was running around a lot and was not super attentive to our table. The restaurant did not seem overly busy and there were other servers. Food did not come out all together.... More

Just try the Alameda Dip! Best ever! Service was great and beer selection extensive. Try the sampler. Gives you a local's idea of Portland. Would definitely be back.

Went to dinner down the street, and then walked up. We were just checking places we hadn't been to, and this was one. The barkeep was helpful, and fairly patient for our beer choosing. The beer was reasonablely priced. We did not eat, so cannot vouch for food. The barkeep said they are more geared to food tables, and do... More

The dinners are good. I like the "whitefish wednesday" special. Beer is so-so. Great mojitos. Lots of room for larger parties.

Met a friend here for dinner & drinks on a whim. If it wasn't for the fact that our other place of choice closed early, we would've never stumbled upon this gem. I'm so thankful we did. The entry door was a cross between Lord of the Rings & Hansel & Gretel. I was pleasantly surprised to walk into a... More

The beer is pretty good, but the food definitely fell short. We were there about 8 pm on a Friday night and the place was pretty empty. After reading other reviews of this place, I'm guessing we were just there on an off night.

With a new executive chef, the Alameda Brewhouse has some new and delicious menu items to try in addition to the standby-favorites like great burgers, fish and chips and winter-warming soups. Rotating taps (I enjoyed a Nitro English ale) add great beers to the meal. One big room can get noisy and the booths are a bit quieter.
