The beer is pretty good, but the food definitely fell short. We were there about 8 pm on a Friday night and the place was pretty empty. After reading other reviews of this place, I'm guessing we were just there on an off night.

With a new executive chef, the Alameda Brewhouse has some new and delicious menu items to try in addition to the standby-favorites like great burgers, fish and chips and winter-warming soups. Rotating taps (I enjoyed a Nitro English ale) add great beers to the meal. One big room can get noisy and the booths are a bit quieter.

Local as it gets, yet as PDX as it gets too. Craft brew variety and with a good selection of food choices for the family. Good local place to pass time with friends or social/family acquaintances in the later afternoon or evening.

We enjoyed the fresh potato chips served along side our meal. I was impressed with the cost. They had an excellent selection of craft beers. While they are a little off the beaten path for those staying in downtown, it was a nice locals place to eat.

Quite a wide variety of delicious offerings, both food and liquid. Not to mention that they currently have $5 growler fill-ups on Saturdays.

On our second visit to Portland we decided on getting a brew and a meal as soon as we got out of the airport. I remembered the Alameda which is fairly close and ended having a great Black Bear Porter and delicious chicken sandwich- a wonderful welcome to the Portland flavors. It's quaint, good variety of beer and dishes and... More

This brewery is located in a nice quiet neighborhood. The beer was very good; it had its own unique taste. The food was really good too. They serve decent portions at a nice price. It was definitely worth the time to visit!

My wife and I recently had dinner here and, it was great. The pub is in a nice Portland neighborhood. The interior has a nice "industrial light" feel with tables and booths. They have a long full service bar and a great array of fresh made beers on tap. The menu is really extensive. I had the turkey pot pie... More

I have wanted to write a review about the Alameda for some time now and have just never gotten around to it. My bad , because this is a great little place that should never be overlooked. Located in the Freemont district of North Central Portland this has always been a favorite stopping off point for Friends and Family while... More

There are many breweries in Portland so we decided to try one we hadn't been to. Alameda's pictures looked pretty nice and the reviews pretty good, so we gave it a try. The place was not crowded, but a nice space. We were seated at a booth and chose the taster to test all the beer options. We ordered the... More
