Okay place for a quick dinner

Needed a place for a quick dinner and stopped at Paddy's. The Reuben was delicious. My husband had the Shepherds Pie....it was tiny. Good selection of local beer.

This is the average of 2 visits. The first time it was not at all satisfying, and the second visit was more enjoyable. On the first visit both the wife and I ordered the lamb stew. While it was tasty enough, between the two of us we had no more than 4 small bits of lamb. It was closer to... More

Place was not very crowded - Ate early dinner, about 5:30. Had no problem with service even though there was only one waitress - she made sure I was ok each time around the place. Great location right by the Rail, so it made it easy to get back to the hotel after eating. Had the Sheppard's Pie and Guinness... More

My husband and I went in late on a Friday evening after a show at the schnitzer. My husband ordered a "boiler maker" and the server was so rude. He acts like it was weird that he ordered a drink like that and asked him how exactly he wanted it (it's a shot of Irish whiskey dropped into a point... More

This would be an okay after work hh bar if the service wasn't so damn terrible. The staff seems annoyed to be taking your order, drinks take forever and cashing out can be a painful process...and that's from my better experience at Paddy's. We recently called ahead to reserve a space (mentioned we'd be ordering food and drinks) for a... More

When in Portland, I make a stop at Paddy's (referred to as "The Library"). The appetizers are good, and there is no way one can not find what they want to drink. The staff isn't overly friendly, but, they keep up with the crowd.

I'm only giving two starts because they have Guinness on tap. Stopped by for a very late dinner after an event. The service was terrible. Food was OK - but not great. They didn't even refill water glasses. The bar tender seemed more interested in a group of ladies at the bar that were exposing themselves to him/each other. I... More

Stopped by for lunchtime snacks on a Sunday and wasn't blown away. The wall of liquor was pretty impressive, but the staff seemed more irritated to have customers, which translated into mediocre the service. The menu is really limited, and the food is average at best ... and that was a stretch. Maybe it was an off day for them,... More

Stopped in for lunch, and maybe it was an off day as I have had better food here. Tried the bangers and mash. Mash was runny, sausage was bland. Have been here for happy hour and the food was really good. Service was good.
