Great Atmosphere and Great Selection

We have been to Paddy's every time we visit Portland. The atmosphere is fun, I love the quotes they have painted on the walls and ceiling. The food selection is good and their liquor selection is outstanding. I have seen negative reviews regarding the service, this has never been our experience... read more

I had stopped by Paddy's a few weeks ago, but it was too early to drink. It looked great, though, with its wall of alcohol behind the long bar and its handsome decor, so I looked forward to going there some evening. Well, I went there last night, a Saturday evening and only about 11:00. It was practically empty. I... More

We came primarily for the drink and the selection was phenomenal for both beer and whiskey. Drink usually leads to food and as a result we enjoyed a couple of sandwiches, both of which were adequate. Good service, good atmosphere, had a very nice evening. Worth a visit if you collect/like Irish Pub's.

Bartender was great, ambiance is cool and the whiskey selection is incredible! I didn't have any food, but had plenty to drink! Will come back anytime I'm in Portland!

We went here with a group for the Timbers game. The restaurant us spacious with lots of the playing the game. The wait staff was attentive and got drinks out in decent time. The food was another story. The poppers were very greasy and very vinegary. The emanates were plain and the Mac and cheese was just OK. To be... More

What a perfect Irish pub. Even the wait staff enhanced the luncheon. The wood booths the long bar in the dark setting made it seem even better. But the part that made it the best were the Bangers & Mash with Bourbon gravy w/ onions. There was plenty of time to talk and enjoy the quaint and perfect Irish day.

Paddy's is a favorite when meeting friends for drinks in Portland. Their outside seating in summer evenings is extremely pleasant, and they have a nice selection of hard ciders at a decent price ($4, a good deal in my mind considering the location of pioneer square). Sought refuge here after feeling woefully out of place in the uber-trendy, Space-Mountain-esque "Departure"... More

We had a small group in the back room. A heavy curtain and out of the way location provides nice privacy, and it has a large TV and room to seat about 20, as well as a counter area in front of the TV. Our server, Jayme, was great. Very attentive despite also having tables in the regular bar area.... More

We went for lunch. The atmosphere and decor was great...a nice oasis in the middle of the city. My husband had the fish and chips and said they were excellent. The lamb stew I had was the best I have ever had...ever. Nothing in Ireland compared. The beer selection was good and the Irish coffee does not disappoint. The service... More

There's so many nice bars like this in Portland. It's amazing! We didn't eat here but stopped for a beer. It was very comfortable. I must say there was nobody in there except us 4 and another guy who downed a quick beer and Kel's Irish Pub was packed...we had just come from there. The bartender could be more friendly... More
