Paddy's Best Portland OR

What a perfect Irish pub. Even the wait staff enhanced the luncheon. The wood booths the long bar in the dark setting made it seem even better. But the part that made it the best were the Bangers & Mash with Bourbon gravy w/ onions. There was plenty of time to talk and enjoy the quaint and perfect... read more

We went here with a group for the Timbers game. The restaurant us spacious with lots of the playing the game. The wait staff was attentive and got drinks out in decent time. The food was another story. The poppers were very greasy and very vinegary. The emanates were plain and the Mac and cheese was just OK. To be... More

Paddy's is a favorite when meeting friends for drinks in Portland. Their outside seating in summer evenings is extremely pleasant, and they have a nice selection of hard ciders at a decent price ($4, a good deal in my mind considering the location of pioneer square). Sought refuge here after feeling woefully out of place in the uber-trendy, Space-Mountain-esque "Departure"... More

We had a small group in the back room. A heavy curtain and out of the way location provides nice privacy, and it has a large TV and room to seat about 20, as well as a counter area in front of the TV. Our server, Jayme, was great. Very attentive despite also having tables in the regular bar area.... More

We went for lunch. The atmosphere and decor was great...a nice oasis in the middle of the city. My husband had the fish and chips and said they were excellent. The lamb stew I had was the best I have ever had...ever. Nothing in Ireland compared. The beer selection was good and the Irish coffee does not disappoint. The service... More

There's so many nice bars like this in Portland. It's amazing! We didn't eat here but stopped for a beer. It was very comfortable. I must say there was nobody in there except us 4 and another guy who downed a quick beer and Kel's Irish Pub was packed...we had just come from there. The bartender could be more friendly... More

I came in here with a work colleague just to have a catch up and a quick beer, and was not expecting what I found! A fantastic atmosphere, beautiful wall of bottles / alcohol and a cosy interior. We happened to be in at the same time as a group of Jimmy Buffet concert-goers, which again added to the night.... More

Very nice selection of Irish beers. Tasty pub fare. The fish and chips was super. Lamb stew got thumbs up. Service is always good. Several good sized TVs if you feel like watching sports. Also right on the Max line, so very easy access. It's our usual before and after spot when we are in town for the Timbers. Only... More

we stopped in for lunch and tried the baby spinach & beet plus the chicken and pear salads. Both salads were lacking in flavorful content. Both loaded with spinach !! There were a few thin slices of pear, disappointing especially since pears are in season in Oregon and delicious products are available. Smithwicks is always a reliable beer for me.

I had seen this location pop up in our City Guide and was very happy when we happened upon it during our stroll. We ordered off the happy hour menu and were definitely content to receive good-sized portions. We ordered the nachos and calamari to share. The nachos were piled high with plenty of goodness on top and intermixed in.... More
