One Word: ChocolateEspressoBread

Coffee was good, chai tea was kinda wimpy (where's the tea?). We were lucky enough to be standing there when a regular tipped us on getting the Chocolate Espresso Bread. It looked simple and plain but dark enough to trust there was enough chocolate. A Holy Grail status of chocolate 'bread' - moist... read more

Hands down, this is my favorite coffee place in SE Portland. The staff is amazingly friendly and, to be frank, very beautiful. The seating area is big with lots of windows, which is great if you need a quick escape if you see an ex who also loves this place. A great place to do work, meet clients, people watch,... More

This is a good Portland-y place, great for people-watching, people-listening to and most of the baked goods I have tried have been really good. I usually just get regular coffee, and it is good enough to drink black, which is an indication it serves locals. As previously mentioned, you might have to wait for a good seat at some times... Portland is loaded with fantastic bakeries: Fleur de Lis, Little T, Roman Candle, St. Honore, Pearl Bakery, Ken's Artisan Bakery, just to name a few. Cream is where one goes to get dense, often dry, fairly tasteless hippy style goods. As a 40 year resident, I say : Why settle for such low quality when so many truly wonderful places... More

I've been coming to Crema for at least a few years now. I like coming here almost any time. The only times where it isn't great is when there aren't enough seats. =/ This spot is just south of Burnside on 28th with a great vibe. The coffee is wonderfully done, the eats spread is all out there for you... More

We had driven around Portland on our way out of town looking for coffee houses with good baked goods - using Urbanspoon for our guide - and went to 3 coffee places and didn't stay. They all had Costco muffins or tired looking doughnuts. I'm so glad we persevered until we found this gem. Best bakery selection we have seen... More

I came across this coffee shop one day while, coincidentally, looking for a new coffee place to go to. Not only do I love their coffee but their pastries and sandwiches are delicioso!! Everything is scratch made in house and very fresh. There are food carts right around the corner as well which is pretty cool. This place is quintessential... More

I love the mornings when I go into work late and can stop by Crema. Usually I am out too early, so I end up at Starbucks. Today I had the "caramel sutra" latte after a late start. This drink is delicious, well-blended and smooth. The contents of their pastry case are out of this world, and everything I have... More

We stopped here twice on our last visit to Portland. The sandwiches were great, as were the baked items. Victor, goes out of his way to make your meal excellant.

Nice variety of coffee. I enjoyed their Costa Rican blend. Strong but tasty. Clean atmosphere. No music playing.
