We were told that we had to go here, Pretty disappointed. Host was not very happy to be at work that day. The menu was discouraging to say the least. We have been to many Irish restaurants and bars and this one is differently on the bottom of the list.

Go HERE! They brew their own beers which are good. Try their alternative to Guiness! I like the lager too. The owner is on premisises. Meet him if you go in! Always packed and fun. Music nightly I believe and outdoor seating in the summer.

Great place for live music. The food is just ok, but we always return because it's a great atmosphere!

We showed up and ordered one or tow of each of the appetizers with some beers and it was fantastic! The staff was fine, a little slow but we were starving and she was way busy so that was probably no big deal. The food was really good and the prices were ok, but we were at happy hour so... More

We had breakfast here with friends. I got the smoked salmon hash which was delicious. It was quiet and the staff was friendly.

While visiting my son and daughter in law in Portland, we thought it would be nice to visit an Irish Restaurant & Pub. Two of us had cod and chips and the other two had a curry. The food was okay - nothing to write home about and the waitress was very friendly - over friendly. Instead of taking our... More

My husband and I stopped into Kells on a Saturday night after flying into Portland that evening. The place was hopping! We sat in the main bar area. An authentic Irish band was playing Irish music which was extremely good. They had a crowd up dancing and were very entertaining. We ordered a few snacks - a quesada and nachos.... More

Everything about this restaurant was terrific. My fiancee and I had excellent service, great food, and really enjoyed the overall atmosphere. If you're looking for a casual place to grab a drink or watch a game, this is a great option! We went for an early dinner on a Friday night so we didn't stay for the live music that... More

We went specifically for a meal. We chose the quieter side room over the barroom. Our server was Shawna - she was pleasant and had good suggestions. We had between us a draft cider, the Kell's lager, the soup of the day, an order of sharing-plate sausage roll, the lamb stew, the shepherd's pie, and the Irish trifle dessert. The... More
