We coincidentally parked on the street right in front of Escape so decided to return there for lunch later. Hit them right after the lunch rush had ended. I had a mushroom slice and my wife had a mixed veggie slice. Both were good. Great cheese and crispy thin crust. Some pepper flakes on my mushroom slice and it was... More

If I lived closer, I would eat here at least once a week. I finally took my husband here today and he agreed with me- great pizza!! They have the best crust. Plus it's a chill vibe and they always have good music playing.

After purchasing a meal, I was trying to ask the cook if I could take a picture of him tossing dough to be polite. He completely ignored me as I thought he didn't hear me. When he walked back I said "excuse me? He yells without looking up. Ask questions over there! Points. I politely said I just would -'cut... More

Feeling rather jet-lagged early on in our holiday we just fancied a slice of pizza and staying not far away we were duly sent with an excellent recommendation from the hotel staff - we absolutely loved every mouthful, this where thin and crispy have been done to perfection! Loved it.

After having tried numerous "by-the-slice" pizza places, this one stands out. Great crust, homemade sauce and generous toppings make this hand tossed pizza my favorite. I will continue to buy whole pies and slices pizzas here, it's the best in Portland!

Pizza by the slice, probably the best that you can get in Portland! Walked from our hotel room down to the Alphabet district. Excellent pizza.

My four buddies and I ordered up some take out pizza right after flying into town over Labor Day weekend. Pizza is tasty and the price is reasonable. In New York City fashion, the toppings are limited and that's the just the way it is at this place. We had a couple of cheese pizzas and we were very satisfied... More

Having grown up on New York City pizza, I can tell you that this guy took the recipe with him when he escaped. Really good if you like thin, but not Neapolitan thin, cheesy pizza with just the right amount of sauce. Would have liked to see a slice with tons of veggies but I guess I could have custom... More

Great pizza and the most reasonably priced for a family of six! Delicious thinner crust pizza. We had pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and onion. 25 cent refills on soda. Not a fancy place. Order at the counter and find a seat either at the small counter inside or at two outside tables. Best pizza I've had in a long while!

Rolled into Portland and were starving. A local pointed us to Escape From New York Pizza because they were open late and we got a couple slices, a caesar salad and some drinks. Very satisfying and cheap! Quick too.
