I've been to Portland before and always walked by Mothers and the long line and horrendous wait times had always deterred me from stopping by. Finally it was a 20 minute wait and I was starving and wanted to coat my belly before heading down to the Oregon Brew Festival to drink beer all day. I got a peach bellini... More

went for lunch on a Tuesday - only a short line (we tried to go for breakfast on a Saturday, there was a huge line!). No matter what the line, this restaurant is worth the wait. Absolutely delicious, unique flavors and you will walk away totally stuffed. They have great tshirts too!

Beautifully appointed Bistro. We stopped in for coffee and a snack one day...and made a point to go back for breakfast the next day. It's right downtown Portland, and worth a visit!

Wish it would have alerted me on Trip Advisor! When we arrived after paying for parking, we were disappointed. So this is a heads up.

We first went to the bar, and our server asked what we would like- we couldn't decide right away, so Dane asked if we liked Vodka - and he would surprise us with something - he brought two great drinks... I couldn't tell you what they were.. but they were good! We also ordered the homemade hummus- it was fresh... More

The menu says "comfort food" and the ambience is turn of the century saloon. It's a great place to got for breakfast and very reasonable. Solo travelers, sit at the bar. Afternoon day trippers needing parties, stop by. And breakfast or brunch-seekers, do not miss.

Mother's Bistro gave us a wonderful evening at a phenomenal price! We wanted a place to go with our cocker spaniel so we would not have to leave him in the hotel. They got us one of their three outside tables within about 15 minutes at 7:30 pm on a beautiful Friday night. The service was great from start to... More

Mother's should be on your "must" list while in Portland. We went for breakfast, were lucky to be seated immediately (when we left, there were several parties waiting). Loved the atmosphere right off the bat, and the service was terrific. Food was yummy, large portions, very filling. Bring your appetite!

My BF thought this was the best restaurant we visited during our four days in Portland. He loved the Steak Frites (dinner) , and the meatloaf sandwich (lunch). My food was just so-so. Chicken salad (lunch) was bland and boring. My dinner entree was so unmemorable, I've forgotten what I had. Probably fish of some sort.
