I love that they text your phone to tell you how long it will be and then text when they are about ready to get you! Fun interior and now have eaten there twice. Food was yummy both times. I can see why it is is so busy all the time! Give it a try next time you are in... More

We arrived for lunch after shopping in Portland without any reservations. We had a 15 min wait which was not too bad. I did notice that there was an ebb and tide with some people having a 20 min wait and some no wait at all. Service started out fast but our waitress became caught up in other tables and... More

Hotel recommended Mother's and we are glad they did. Sat outside in the sun and enjoyed steel cut oatmeal with banana and raisins and a side of pancakes. Delightful Saturday breakfast!

This is a very busy restaurant and it's vey well run, good staff that are efficient and helpful. The breakfast choice is huge. The food was excellent matched by the service. Can't go wrong.

Stopped by around 10am with a large party, and were seated incredibly quickly. Gold star number one. Our waitress was super friendly, accommodating (we had a party of eight), and genuinely interested in making sure we had an awesome time on our Portland visit. The food was very well priced .. and portions were hearty (I am from Texas). The... More

We ate a Saturday breakfast at Mothers, and while the food was excellent (we shared blueberry pancakes and a salmon omelet) the place was an unbelievable, constant stream of customers. If you do not arrive early enough. be prepared for a decent wait. The food was different and very good, but the staff amazed me the most. Constant movement in... More

It is quirky like all of Portland. The staff is very friendly. they are great and just the right amount of "leave me alone mixed with attentiveness". Drinks are good and they carry the best of the local beer also mixed drinks. Food, excellent...delicious...and will hold you over till dinner. We did breakfast/brunch on a Sunday. The wait was 35... Went here for dinner based on TA reviews though most were for breakfast. It was busy but we were seated right away by a window without a reservation. Service was a little spotty but good overall. Decor was different but it worked. Food was great. My wife had steak done perfectly with wonderful frites. I had the pork medallions which... More

Went for lunch one day expecting great things, found the experience to be a little mixed. The place is jammed at lunchtime on a weekday, so don't be surprised to find yourself bumping elbows with people at the other tables. My companion ordered a tuna melt and I ordered the much ballyhooed pulled pork sandwich. Both were just OK, but... More
