Fabulous breakfast!

Had the best breakfast here during our trip to Portland. The biscuits and gravy are to die for. The portion is huge and very filling. The biscuits are light and fluffy and the gravy hits the spot. The menu had a ton to choose from - something for everything in your group. Make dare to get here... read more

Stopped by before segway tour based on recommendation of hotel. Got chicken salad. Food was bland. Maybe it is a breakfast place but for a lunch I would say so-so. Beer on tap was good.

Get there early as this place is a local favorite and will fill up quickly. Food was delicious and portions were generous in size. Service was terrific. Our waiter, Jason, had tremendous energy & was extremely helpful. Hubby was deciding between 2 omelets and Jason created a custom meal choice for him.

Love the sweet tribute to mothers and the fresh, delicious food. The restaurant closes at 2:30 and reopens later for dinner so we were hoping our arrival time of 1:00 would land us a seat. This strategy worked well as a few tables were already opening up. I chose the salmon hash - wonderful - while my husband chose the... More

This repurposed old bank building does not show its origins--it looks more like a gay 90s (that's 1890s) saloon, with its ornate mirrors and chandeliers. The food was solid, and the prices reasonable. The home lemonade was to die for on this uncommonly hot day. Located literally around the corner from Food Cart World HQ, you cannot go wrong here.... We went with two other couples to this downtown restaurant for a celebration of an anniversary. We found that the wait staff were well trained in gluten, since I have celiac disease. I will just say that the service was excellent and the food likewise. Don't miss an opportunity to visit this friendly restaurant...you won't be disappointed.

I recently dined here for breakfast while in Portland. There was a slight wait but since I was on my own I didn't have to wait at all. After being overwhelmed by the options on the menu and hearing the specials I landed on the Belgium waffle with fresh berries (I substituted the blackberries for blueberries) and whipped cream. It... They are welcoming here with plenty of tables; but some a little tight next to other diners. The airy light filled dining rooms are nice anytime of day. Wonderful, attentive servers can make good suggestions for breakfast such as fresh salmon, potato, onion hash with two fried eggs and cream cheese & chive sauce. Delicious! A huge serving with whole... More

On our downtown tour we walked by Mothers Bistro after it had closed for the rest of the day, but looked at the menu and vowed to return. This morning we lucked out and were seated immediately next to a big bright window and were treated to French Press coffee and a plentiful, savory, and wholesome breakfast. Mine was a... More

Very crowded. Food is excellent. WE were waiting for a table and wanted to order some coffee at the bar. The waitress told us that we couldn't sit at the bar unless we were going to have a meal at the bar. We wanted some coffee which we did order with some difficulty and were instructed to go elsewhere. We... More
