I recently reviewed this restaurant on my cell phone, but it didn't sync with my account, so here it is again. I went with a friend from out of town and we decided to go to VooDoo donuts for breakfast, but the line was so long, we decided to go elsewhere. Smart move! We found Mother;s and signed up to... This is a very popular place in downtown Portland. We had a terrific breakfast there. The menu combines unique dishes with more traditional breakfast food. The decor is fun and each room is different. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

I went with a friend from out of town and we decided to go to VooDoo donuts for breakfast, but the line was so long, we decided to go elsewhere. Smart move! We found Mother's and signed up yo wait for a table. It was well worth the wait. I had the frittata and it was to die for! My... More

If I could only choose one meal in one restaurant in Portland, this is where I would want to go. We were staying nearby at Embassy Suites and walked to Mother's. We started with a Dungeness Crab Cake and then enjoyed the meatloaf with Painted Hills gravy. One of the best things on the plate was the zucchini/corn veggie combo.... More

Wanted to do brunch, that's what most of the folks who reviewed said. We were running late and stopped by for lunch. Elegant setting with friendly staff and a very inviting menu. Starters, mains and desserts were excellent (portions of some of the starters and mains need serious upsizing!). I'd recommend this place to anyone who is willing to try... More

We found this restaurant when we were walking around looking for a place to eat breakfast and not having much luck (places in Portland open so late for breakfast compared to other towns!). We saw a huge line forming by Mothers so decided to join it and are so glad we did. The food was excellent! Everything was delicious and... More

After shopping at Pioneer Place in downtown Portland, we searched for a pleasant place to eat lunch. Found the perfect place at Mother's Bistro & Bar. Our server was courteous and helpful with suggestions that were right on the mark. The four of us had delicious meals followed by a fantastic peach cobbler ala mode that was big enough for... More

Had business to attend to in downtown Portland. Stopped by local restaurant near hotel for late breakfast. We arrived at 11:00 and place was packed but our party of 3 was quickly seated. Although we had planned on lunch, we arrived too early as lunch was not served until 11:30am. So we said what the heck and ordered breakfast. Now... More

Great happy hour menu with lots if choices and of course the craft beer that Portland is famous for. Close walk from the embassy. Breakfast also good.

This is our absolute favorite place to go for breakfast whenever we're in Portland overnight. The food is great and the portions are healthy. Be forewarned, however, that there is always a long wait for a table on the weekends. We think it's worth the wait though.
