fabulous view, great food

We were in Portland for a conference and just happened to walk by the PCG. How lucky we were! The view from the 31st (is it?) floor over the Willamette River was amazing, and our food was really great too, as was the service.

I was told the views of Portland are great from this restaurant. They were spectacular. My steak was cooked medium as requested but tough. The plate our meals were served on were unstable almost like an oval pasta bowl. When I tried to cut my expensive steak the plate rocked and pivoted. I've never had my dinner plate move like... Very nice experience. Found this restaurant from TripAdvisor. The sunset view was incredible. It was a busy evening so things took time. Steak was perfect. Definitely will return.

The view is simply spectacular! We saw an awesome sunset. The service was absolutely wonderful and the food was very very good. Must get the Calamari appetizer, it is a one of a kind dish, a great dish to share. Among the group we had a variety of Steaks and the Halibut. To a person the food was really good.... More

Located atop a high rise in downtown, the views of the city, river and nearby mountain was incredible. To start the entry to the high rise was under construction with dirt, dust and equipment strewn about. the elevators were dirty and banged up. Entry to restaurant was stark and then had to pass through a sports bar like setting to... More

My husband and I went here for happy hour on Saturday and we really enjoyed it! We were dressed in very casual clothes since we had been walking around the city, and we didn't feel underdressed. We saw people in fancy dresses but also people in shorts and t-shirts. It was still light out so we had a great view... More

Portland city grill is all about the view; which is amazing. The cocktails are wonderful. The food however, is nothing special. My friend absolutely hated the piano playing in the background and thus I started hating it as well. New music perhaps. Would come back for the view and drinks in a heart beat.

Could not have been better. Great views, great food, great service. Very reasonably priced in happy hour setting and menu. Casual but very very nice. Would be back in a heart beat.
