PORTLAND CITY GRILL --A VIEW RESTAURANT THAT ACTUALLY HAS GOOD FOOD!

This was probably my 4th visit to this fine dining scene downtown. In my experience restaurants with a spectacular view ( this one on 30th floor overlooking the rivers) have mediocre food. Not at Portland City Grill. The food is great, never disappoints. We had a window table and the view was... read more

We have started an annual tradition of taking our two daughters here for lunch to celebrate their birthdays which are only 3 days apart. We reserved a table on Open Table and mentioned the birthdays. When we were seated, the table was decorated and had a nice card from the server and other wait staff! We go for lunch and... More

Often when a restaurant is known for its amazing view, it is not known for its amazing food, but I think the Portland City Grill is the exception. I lucked out by visiting Portland on a sunny, warm day in February and friends treated me to lunch at the Portland City Grill. We had a table with a spectacular view... More

Portland City Grill offers breathtaking views of the city while enjoying a lovely happy hour in their bar. A destination location for many of the power executives and those who wish to experience a more sophisticated scene for happy hour. The PCG also offers fine dining. But if you'd like to impress a first date.. Not a bad choice.

Our first visit here...It was very busy, around 5 p.m. We waited at the bar for a table. The drinks were good as were the appetizers. A window table came open and we rushed to it in the lounge(for the view) as it had gotten dark and the lights of Portland were fantastic They had great service at the bar... More

People, this place has one of the best happy hour menus in Portland. The food is good, the staff friendly and assertive and the views are amazing.

Cioppino soup with toasted baguette and goat cheese - $17 This is a dish I find has a large variance in quality and ingredients. This was one of the best (except mine of course) salmon, scallops, shrimp with a tomato saffron broth. We did not have reservations but waited in the lounge until a table was available - happy hour... More
