Best restaurant in Portland?

With very good food, a Mt. Hood view from its 30th floor location, and free parking in the center city, PCG is our favorite restaurant in Portland. Try the kung pao calamari, and their top sirloin steak. Outstanding!

I have been to the City Grill and number of times, and to be fair the food and service are usually commendable. But for this visit the event was ruined before it began. We arrived at Bancorp Tower around 3pm. As always we got on the elevator to the restaurant. It started up to the 30th floor but then, when... More

Fantastic ambience, best view of Portland, really helpful servers. Go for happy hour, food appetizers (tapa style) are very reasonably priced, if your lucky you'll even catch some live piano "lounge style" music. Definitely on my top five places in Portland.

It's rather rare for a restaurant on the top of a city building to have food to match their view. Most view restaurants I have been to have mediocre food at best since people are willing to pay for the view. Portland City Grill is the exception. I have been to PCG several times, for special occasions, with visitors from... More

Portland City Grill is a great place to dine for lunch, dinner, and happy hour. This review is for their happy hour. They have a fantastic happy hour food menu. We ordered the fries, crab and avocado roll, creole shrimp and grits, and oven roasted salmon cakes. Everything tasted great. There are many other options such as salads, burgers, and... More

I have been coming to the Portland Grill located on the 30th floor of the US Bank building for 12 years. At dusk the bar provides a beautiful view of the city. The drinks are great, food is fantastic. They also have a great happy hour menu. They have live piano music which is always a treat. One of my... More

We found this after we had already eaten but it is on the 30th floor of the Bancorp tower and they have half price meals for happy hour but you have to get there early or you can't get a seat. So, depends if you want to wait or pay extra for your meal. We went for a drink and... More

We flew into Portland to visit family south of the city. Went to the city grill based on trip advisor reviews. The fried calamari appetizer was the best I have ever eaten. It was a cross between fried calamari and sesame Chinese. My son and I devoured. The steak was very good. I had the halibut fish from the special... More

This is a true steakhouse restaurant in the heart of Portland. It was close to our hotel and was recommended by our concierge (with the caution that it was pricey). The prices are on a par with Ruth’s Chris and other fine steakhouses and the food was comparable. My wife and I split the Chophouse Caesar – a non-traditional romaine... More

I go here often - customers, friends, especially people from out of town. On a clear day you can see 10s of miles in almost all directions, a great way to get visitors oriented. When you finally sto gawking outside, you can start the people watching inside: at happy hour on most evenings, it's a tough choice. There are two... More
