We went back after 7 months, this time to celebrate a birthday. What a brunch and what a view! The food and service was fabulous. Our server, Izzy, never let our champagne glasses get empty:-) That had been my only tiny gripe last time. Now, everything was perfect. If you are anywhere close to downtown Portland on a Sunday morning,... More

I have had only one chance to spend time in this place. It was a good time there! Maybe the decor is a little outdated...buuut the view is absolutely dazzling and breathtaking! + good wine list and solid staff. The best restaurant for a romantic dinner.

PCG treated my wife and I very well. I made the reservation online, requesting a window table and noting that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We got planted right next to the window at a table decorated for us, including a card signed by the staff waiting for us at the table. The food was wonderful. Very nice beet... More

Fantastic views and food is very good. It's expensive but probably comparable to other restaurants downtown. Call ahead for reservations and get a window table if possible - they are always busy. We'll be back when we have out of town visitors who want to see Portland.

I've been here a few times now and their is always one constant, the great view. Beyond that Portland City Grill has always been a little hit or miss. The food is generally good but over-priced compared to all the great options in Portland. This place also seems to draw in lots of tourists who will practically climb over your... More

I dropped by the Grill during the late-night happy hour, found a place buzzing and superb night views of the city and river. The beautiful people there mostly were looking at each other, but I liked the menu, the variety of seating--booths, high tables, low tables--and the service. Had a class of wine, Cloudline pinot noir, as I recall, which... More

Having dined at Portland City Grill on numerous occasions in the evening, it is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland. Great view, excellent service, and fantastic steaks along with the asian infused options such as sushi and kung pao calimari. So when my wife's 50th birthday arrived, I planned to take the whole family for their Sunday Brunch. I... More

This restaurant was recommended by co-workers and we certainly were NOT disappointed! We wanted our friends from California to have "the real Portland experience". The views were stunning, and the food was awesome! The four of us had the halibut and it was the BEST we have ever tasted! The calamari appetizer was amazing as well. The service was impeccable,... You'll be surrounded by walls of windows and terrific views of Portland's environs, particularly Mt. Hood, in the beautiful dining room of City Grill restaurant. This is a great place for a tourist, as I was. The food overall was very good, but service certainly didn't meet the standards of such a pricey restaurant. For example, water glasses remained unfilled... More

The Portland City Grill sits on the 30th floor and overlooks the city of Portland and the views are spectacular. We started with the calamari - which was one of the best I have eaten and then I ordered the lambs - delicious, my husband had a filet and my son a stuffed chicken. Everything was delicious. The food was... More
