Dinner on the River

We went just for the "Halibut"! I always wanted to say that. And this time it was true. The Halibut was fresh and awesome, same as the service! The only bad point was it was very tight quarters which made it difficult for business conversation. But the food and view made up for it.

Brought our family for weekend brunch. Have to say we were very pleased with everything. Our reservation was 9:15 so they weren't busy yet and our service was great. Everyone very nice and attentive without being hovering. Quality of food was there from the gravy on the biscuits to the seafood. Might expect a little fancier environment for the price,... More

My husband and I went on Valentines Day. I was two days out of shoulder surgery and the waiter offered to cut my steak for me. The food was wonderful! The view of the river was awesome. We enjoyed every minute. Even though they were busy we felt well taken care of.

An incredible view of the river with great service, live music, good wine cellar, and excellent seafood. Had the Steelhead and it was wonderful. Oysters were Fresh and a great local Pinot Gris.

So you would think that a Thursday night would be a slow night. Not at Salty's on the Columbia River! We arrived 45 minutes early for our 7:00 reservation - no luck, we got seated a little after 7:10. There was a bald eagle parked in the tree right outside the window, so that helped melt the time away. Hoping... More

While experiencing significant delays trying to head out of PDX we decided to try to experience a little bit of Portland and found Salty's! We head time to relax, enjoy the wonderful views and the fresh seafood. Would come again when staying in Portland! It turned a miserable morning into a wonderful day!

I had great dinner in this popular restaurant by the river. Starters were calamaris and crab cake. Main course was rock fish. Food was very good and service also. Location is great. Plenty of choices and drink list is long. I can recommend to all seafood lovers.

My husband and I decided to have dinner at Salty's for our Valentine's Day treat to ourselves. The menu was revised to a special occasion menu, which I think was more expensive than their normally expensive prices. Many friends have raved about their breakfast buffet, so we thought it would be a treat. We were wrong! Let me start by... More

Service, great. Food, great. View, great. The first two without the view....... not the same. We went for brunch and had a reservation. It was a beautiful day and we were looking forward to a lovely meal and view. Imagine my surprise when we were seated in a small back room with two large parties and a view of the... More
