Nice seafood restaurant close to airport

Nice location along the river. Good choice of seafood. Portions are reasonable and not too large like it can be in some other places in USA. Nice atmosphere and professional service. We tried the Kung Pao calamari. Very tasty with the spicy sauce. Cozy atmosphere, elegant but not too stiff.

I've been here before and each time it's a new experience. I got there early and tried several things this time off the Happy Hour menu. This was really fun and gave me a chance to order things I may not normally have. The blackened steelhead caesar salad rates way, way up there as does the standard-chowder. Great environment, great... More

We visited Portland Oregon and dined at Salty's on the Columbia River whilst in town to visit the daughter. I would definitely consider this an upscale restaurant however we all wore jeans( but nice jeans.) Other diners dressed up more than us but it still felt okay. Our server, Christian was attentive but not irritatingly so. Between the four of... More

We chose Salty's because we wanted a nice place to eat. Unfortunately it got dark and was pouring down rain with gale force winds by the time we arrived. We could not see the water, but it was still a great decision. From the moment we walked in we knew it was going to be a great decision. The service... More

We arrived about 11 15 am without a reservation, yet were quickly seated. Most often they will give you choices - upstairs or downstairs. If this is your first time, ask for a table near a window to see the Columbia River. On weekends, Salty's offer brunch - luscious seafood buffet, with roast & ribs included for those who are... Whether you stop in for a nice lunch or a fine diner, Salty's on the Columbia will exceed your expectations at every step. The staff is incredibly professional and attentive to your needs. The food is second to none, especially in the Portland area. Its location is prime as it sits perched over the Columbia River with amazing views both... More

My daughter, grand baby and I had the best brunch buffet there today. She ate mainly crab claws and I ate the boiled shrimp. Both were plentiful and fresh! The salmon w ginger orange glaze was also delicious as was the seafood chowder! We also enjoyed the Mac and cheese, shrimp and grits and shrimp cerviche. The cinnamon roles were... More

The hotel recommended this restaurant, by the crow flying it would have been a short trip. About 3 times that far because we had to around the airport, the chefs special was good with fish, crab and clams.

Great experience for a very fancy dinner, ($$$$) but if you go to happy hour, you get great food and wine at a super price. Wonderful view of the Columbia River and all the sailboats. Wonderful service. We travel for business to Portland 4-5 times a year, and we never miss going to Salty's for happy hour!
