I have eaten at the Salty's in Seattle and find these restaurants quite good though a bit pricey for my tastes. Keep in mind that I am used to comparable meals at 2/3rd's the price but that is on the East Coast and the restaurants are not so posh. Beautiful restaurant on the river. The staff is professional and attentive... More

We went "Christmas Ships" night. Of course it was very busy. But the servers hang in there, do their best, and show for extensive training. We got sandwiched between two very large, very loud parties and management apologized without our ever complaining. Classy. The kitchen performs like, well, a bottom line watching corporation. Do what you must, and watch the... More

Salty's on the Columbia is a Portland institution......the atmosphere is beyond compare however the food prices are off the chart. Also the quality of food has gone down over time. The food is good but for what they charge you are paying for the setting and river view. They do have good jazz music however and a good happy hour.

I personally think that Salty's has "slipped" backwards as far as quality of food is concerned. The past two visits from us have not been what we expected. The atmosphere is still quite good and the basic maintenance is pretty good. Food quality and prep is no better than the average but the prices reflect that it should be much... More

Salty's is top shelf. The service, view, and food make this one remarkable place to enjoy a brunch with friends and family. We visited for the Saturday Champagne Brunch with another couple over the Thanksgiving weekend and we very impressed! The brunch runs $45.00 w/o champagne and $55.00 with. My girlfriend and I opted for the champagne and it flowed... More

The view is the best part of this dining experience. The food is decent but way overpriced for what you get. For lunch I had fish and chips (actuallyl fish and a substitute side order of yams) for a whopping $18. There were only two pieces of fish (cod). And the yam casserole, which was considered a specialty, was ok... More

As an out-of-towner, our hotel recommended trying this restaurant. With a very nice scenic overlook of the Columbia River, we were a bit skeptical when we saw the prices. But when we received our entree's, (steelhead fish and tuna), we were both simply amazed at the flavors of both dishes. The dishes were perfectly cooked, and the side dishes were perfectly... More

Today is taco Tuesday and they have blackened cod tacos for two dollars. I also ordered today's flat bread special of lox, cream cheese and capers for three dollars. $1 off drafts, $4 well drinks, $5 wine and $2 off signature drinks. Lots of good value and choices on the food. Of course you have fabulous views and excellent service.... More

I am probably too sentimental when it comes to Salty's since that's where my husband and I shared our first Valentine's dinner when we were first dating. However, the setting is so beautiful and ambiance so comfortable that it always feels great to dine there. We stopped in for no special reason on Sunday and ate an early dinner. The... More

My wife found this one and it turned out well! Great location on the Columbia River but only a few minutes from Portland Airport. Good food. Attentive staff.
