I left my credit card in the folder after signing the tab. Our server Austin....who had provided sommelier quality advice regarding wine....and excellent advice and service throughout our meal.......AUSTIN came out into the parking lot to find us and hand us our credit card personally. I could go on and on about the hospitality, fish quality....etc. but Austin is the... More

We decided to splurge for our anniversary and booked a reservation for the Sunday Brunch Buffet at Salty's on the Columbia. We were not disappointed in the least. We were seated at a table by the window and enjoyed the beautiful view of the river. The buffet itself if enormous and delicious! I stuffed myself with peel and eat shrimp... More

I grew up in the Puget Sound eating at Salty's on special occasions like proms and birthdays, but had been away for several years. The good news is the small restaurant chain is still awesome, with excellent food and service! I was bringing my son to college in Portland and we decided to celebrate with a couple of friends on... Besides the fabulous sea food, the setting was superb--dining al fresco while watching moonrise on top of silvery Mt. Hood

We made reservations for Sunday brunch and I definitely recommend reservations because it was packed. Yes, it was expensive ($44 per person for brunch) but there is SO MUCH FOOD. Hence my wear spandex recommendation. Service was great and everyone was nice. View was great as well. Even though it was a great experience, I'm not sure I'd go again... More

Great location. Food average. Cost EXCESSIVE for what they provide. Always crowded. Wine is very overrated and not much selection.

I must say that I was disappointed with Salty's on the river. I have been here before and have been to other Salty's locations in the Pacific Northwest and always found them to be excellent. On this visit our group of four had food that ranged from excellent to so-so and all dishes were over-priced. I am willing to pay... More

Salty's On The Columbia River has an outstanding location overlooking the river. Fantastic view, especially at sunset. We had a table by the window (there are a lot of them) and were very happy with the service. The food and drink were OK but the consensus was it wasn't anything special (they would have a difficult time filling the place... More

I'm not squimish about paying for a good meal BUT when the food your going to eat isn't edible it's disheartening to say the least. The location of this place is wonderful. Our meals (there were 4 of us) were not up to par on this given visit. I had a side of some round bite size potatoes... that were... More

We went to Salty's for lunch during the week. The restaurant was moderately busy with people enjoying lunch on the deck patio on a beautiful summer day. We ordered coconut prawns for an appetizer, which were dry and lacking flavor, followed by chowder and a bibb salad. The chowder was pasty and not very tasty. However, the bibb lettuce salad... More
