Known for their seafood menu. Long wait, thought food was pricy for what you got. Very very noisy inside, while eating had trouble having a conversation. I've enjoyed myself at Salty's in Seattle but did not really enjoy this one with how the restaurant is crowded and noisy.

If we are staying overnight at a PDX Hotel for a morning flight this restaurant will be our “go – to” location for either lunch or dinner (on the previous day). Salty’s has a great location near PDX on the Columbia River with beautiful views of the River. The menu is extensive. Wine list is large and varied. They even... More

I looked forward to sharing a grilled octopus appetizer with my husband. There were more carrots than small slices of octopus for $17. My portion of king salmon was delicious after the first was returned for being overcooked but the portion size was very small for a price of $32. My husband's fish portion of his fish and chips was... More

Just off the plane from the west coast of Florida. I was told the seafood chowder is the best in the area. NOT. I paid the extra $6.50 for Dungeness crab. So whole Bowl of soup is now $17.00+. They forgot the Dungeness so they had to bring it out seperate. Lucky the portion was one once. I commented and... More

The chowder here is amazing. They put some sherry in it to give it a nice slightly sweet woody flavor. I have been there several times now and have yet to be disappointed. If you are in Portland, you cannot go wrong here. Just make sure you get some of that tasty chowder.

We visited with a very large group (18) for the Saturday brunch. Our table was ready when we arrived and the staff was beyond friendly! The buffet is hard to explain - there was so much variety and everything was fresh and delicious. The service throughout was amazing. Our drinks were filled, plates were taken away, everything was just perfect!... More

check out the menu online before you go. The prices for some things are outrageous. The view is nice but not worth the bucks. Food was ok. I loved my Kung Pao calamari appetizer but my filet was cold before I was half way through and totally forgettable ito taste You get three slices of a plain white bread with... More

On a warm sunny day, this is the place to have lunch, dinner or happy hour. The views from inside the restaurant and the outside deck are lovely. You can watch the boat races on the Columbia river, Osprey birds nesting and the view of majestic Mt. Hood. The food is authentic Pacific Northwest cuisine of dungeness crab, cedar plank... More

Saltys have restaurants in Seattle and Portland Oregon. This one overlooks the Columbia River. The expression you get what you pay for definitely is true. Menu is very extensive with more caterings to ocean/fish. A reservation is highly recommended for the marvelous Sunday brunches or Mothers Day, Easter. Christmas on the river has many boats with lights and music so... More
