friendly, local, tasty meal

I was staying nearby and decided to eat at the bar. Great selection of local distilled spirits, I started with the beet salad, a good choice then the grilled Tofu with mashed potato(excellent) and finally the Strawberry Pound Cake (okay). I do like this place and would come back to try some lamb or... read more

Very good service was only outdone by the culinary creations. We had trout, halibut, vegetarian ravioli and gnocchi. Had an awesome array of cocktails as well.

It has parking lot!! Not common for a Portland restaurant. Although only 4 spaces. There are plenty of spaces along the street at dinner time. The mushroom appetizer was good 4 stars. The baked brie was supposed to be really good, and it was pretty good, but didn't seem much different from what my friends make at home all the... More

They had delicious food, and the restaurant was very quiet (important for dining with elderly family).

This is a Portland hidden gem. My friend and I met for dinner, were pleasantly greeted and seated quickly. We had a couple of appetizers - the baked brie is amazing, the chicken skewers were good and then we shared the ravioli. (We ordered gnocchi but got ravioli and we were not disappointed!). We didn't even let our server know,... More

We came here bc of the reviews we saw in the paper. The food was amazing! Sharp chedder ravioli was delicious as was the potato based gnocci. My husband has crispy todu which was great as well and the mashed potatoes had some thyme that made them pop. So full so couldnt get dessert but i would def go back.... More

but if you have a choice of seasons, go summer rather than winter. Yes, I know, we live in the Northwest, duh. We've been here in 3 seasons (skipped spring) and summer is just FABULOUS. There is nothing like late summer produce in the NW...killer...and they do an amazing job with it. But, if you only have one chance to... More

We shared a post-holiday dinner with family & all were pleased, especially so as there were vegetarians, vegans, & non-vegs in the group & all were satisfied. From cocktails to appetizers through desserts, all was delicious, beautifully presented & promptly served. Service was perfect. We had reservations & were seated promptly. The Victorian house setting was pleasant & comfortable. There... More

The food and service are outstanding. But also this is a great place to go with friends when you want to actually carry on a conversation. The place is split into smaller rooms with tables that feel private and quiet. The menu changes seasonally and the four of us each had something different and all were exceptional.

Acozy restaurant is tucked into an unassuming refurbished house. The front room features a table tucked into a bay window nook looking down the bustling Burnside Avenue. I sat in the back room with an old fashioned bar with shelves reaching to the ceiling and adjoining an enclosed courtyard surrounded by high brick and cement walls - lovely. I ordered... More
