Four of us had dinner at the Farm Cafe last weekend. I agree with the other reviewers that the place is full of charm and atmosphere. We were seated in the outdoor patio, and it was a very pleasant setting. The service was very good. The food was flavorful and prepared well, except that two of our party were surprised... More

If I lived in Portland, I'd be here every week. I'm told the menu changes daily and the ingredients are top notch. The bartender made me a great Manhattan and I let him choose the Whiskey and I'm glad I did. We had a baked Brie appetizer that was full of flavor but yet a "lightness" that was unexpected. For... The Farm Café sits just off Burnside at 7th. The old house’s many rooms make for a somewhat more intimate dining experience. The night we dined the patio was open as well. The dinner menu is of the “do a few things well” variety. We had the pan-fried Idaho trout, the asparagus ravioli, wild porcini risotto, and the Farmhouse veggie... More

My daughter lives in Portland and is quite the foodie...after all her dad has owned three restaurants and has been in the food business for over 30 years. She knows good food and seeks it out wherever she lives. This visit was special as she was graduating from college so she booked her favorite fine dining (but super relaxed and... More

A nice place for friends and small groups. The space is broken into small rooms so it is quiet enough to talk easily. Nice variety on the menu with happy hour specials. Good wine list and beer selection. Reasonable portions at a reasonable price.

Went to Farm Cafe to enjoy local Oregon food and was not disappointed. Had the daily lamb special along with an Oregon Pinot. Absolutely delicious--one of the best meals of my stay in Portland. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for a casual atmosphere with high-end food.

My new daughter-in-law's favorite restaurant (one of many), and I was not disappointed. The restaurant is packed into a quaint old home on E. Burnside, and I was told there always seems to be a wait, even with our Open Table reservation. We grabbed a cocktail at the bar, and sat outside on the patio--very comfy and relaxing. They kept... We ventured to the Farm Café because our nearby favorite was closed. Friendly staff accommodated our preference for table location. Unusual menu with tasty choices, emphasizing local and fresh choices. We were pleasantly surprised!

Food was delicious. Carafe of local red blend wine was inexpensive and delicious. Would have given it a 5, but we were handed a check for another table, with twice the number of diners and twice as expensive. Told the waiter/maitre'd. He then gave us our check without any apologies.

We stopped in here last minute and were a party of four. We had really great service and enjoyed the wine list and food too. We all felt the food was a great value. We especially loved the keg wine selection and enjoyed the savings on some terrific wine by the carafe. In addition the bottle list was excellent. The... More
