Came in for brunch last Month and wrote it off as the hostess not on point for the day when she would not hold the long phone call discussing another employees shift when we arrived for our reservation. We ended up walking past her to meet our friend who were already seated. We returned again and our server was so... More

We were staying at the Sentinel and first tried for a pre dinner drink in the Jacknife Bar, however, the sound level and avant garde nature of the heavy rock music drove us to find a quieter location. We found Jakes Grill and, although very busy, the ambience and lack of noisy sound track made for more comfort. Service is... More

Jake's Grill is a good place to go for dinner, I had a Steak and my wife had one of the seafood specials. Both were very good, service matched the food, we had a local wine that went down a treat. Recommended.

We had the grilled salmon and halibut. Both very nicely done. Good wine list, and great service. It's a Landry's property, and we would definitely eat here again.

I simply MUST compliment the attention to service and friendliness on my recent visit to Portland. My partner and I stopped in to Jake's Grill one afternoon for a cocktail. We asked our server for a margarita which, when delivered was, in our estimation, the best margarita we had had in many years. We asked our server (Mitzy) if we... More

Three different seafood dishes outstanding. The grilled rock fish was clearly the best I've ever had and I Iive in a coastal fishing community. Interestingly enough one of our party ordered a steak and while it was good, it wasn't in any way exceptional even though cooked precisely as ordered. The service was impeccable, we wanted for nothing. Jake's is... More

Had dinner at jakes when visiting Portland. Indoor dining is scarce in downtown area, so we were pleased to find Jakes. The menu is limited but offerings and service are good. Recommend blackened tilapia.

All good. Great appetizers, entrees and homemade desserts. I like the Brule, pudding and berry dish. I sat outside and it was great. Recommend if you are int he neighborhood.

We went to Jake's for happy hour because they have outdoor seating and we had our dog. Our fish tacos were horrible, fried fish that appeared to be from frozen. We splurged on an order of ribs (usually don't eat meat) and it was such a waste. The ribs must have been from the night before, meat was as tough... More

Stayed at the Governor several times and always enjoy breakfasts at Jake's. Good value. Linda, our server, was very professional but not overally warm. Love the ambience of the place.
