Ate a heavenly Wild Alaskan Salmon grill and oysters. Both were succulent and soft and felt like they were fresh off the sea

I visited Jake's while staying with a friend in Portland. Out of all the places we ate during my stay this was my favorite. I ordered the peel n' eat shrimp and the crab chowder. It was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it!

Jake's Crawfish has been in Portland since 1892 so it was disappointing to learn that this restaurant is now part of a chain. Think McCormack & Schmick, Morton's, Claim Jumper. That being said, many of the servers appear to have been around for a while and take pride in their work. We couldn't have asked for a better waiter than... More

You don't go to Jake's for the crawfish. You go there for the quality and variety of fish offerings. Always cooked to perfection with appropriate and interesting accompaniments. Even though Jake's is owned by a chain, you wouldn't know it by the ambience and servers. Both unique and experienced.

The venue is impressive if you like classic elegance, The place is expensive, The special of the day was nearly $40 for a salmon dish. I asked if we could split it and order salads (7,99 not too bad, and chowder. Our waiter told us the portions would be too small. So we each ordered an entrée and I ordered... More

Food was very good for what I expected because the place looks really old to be in citycenter. Extremely pricey ($30s-40s)!!!!!! Desserts were very good.

Old skool restaurant, classic in ambiance, service, and seafood. Nice menu selection and wine cellar. An enjoyable time.

Not only do they serve terrific steak, but as I don't eat shellfish I was pleasantly surprised at how many other seafood dishes they offered. The French onion soup starter was classic, and delicious. The atmosphere is a bit dark but service and food super.

When you visit Portland, you really must do Jake's. They have been doing this thing at Jake's for 100 years. The white uniformed service staff set the tone. the old wood and gaslight inspired lighting holds the mood, and, like in many Portland restaurants, they treat food like the French try to. Excellent fish, conservative menu, but a few different... More

Jake's is owned by the McCormick and Schmick's conglomerate. I have been coming here once or twice a year for the last ten years, usually for special occasions or when friends and family come in from out of town. It is still iconic with memorabilia on the walls, fabulous paintings of Mt. Hood and faded photos of Portland. Jake's seems... More
