We have dined here twice, both splurge events, , one year apart, and everything was outstanding. The Eyrie Pinot Gris, which can be hard to find, sets off all seafood. Both meals were perfect. At the edge of the Pearl District, the location could not be better. The dining room is classic, but comfortable, and the wait staff is attentive... More

Ate delicious seafood but felt under pressure to finish our meal and move on. Our initially friendly waiter forgot basic table etiquette while some us were still eating. Bread whipped out from under our nose as well as plates removed before all had finished their meal. A good meal spoiled by the rush to put bums on seats.

The only reason you would eat here is because you are from out of town and are stuck downtown and didn't know Brasserie Monmartre was down the street. Jakes Crawfish and Jakes Grill have beautiful buildings, but their food and service is quite average. You can do much better than either place. Trust me.

Jake's is a very pleasant old time seafood restaurant in a fun area of downtown. Many of the waiters have been there for 20 or more years and know the menu, etc. Theys revert good food, but I think it's overpriced. If you can make it for happy hour, you will enjoy it. Miss out on that and you will... More

Go to Jake's...and eat FISH! There are lots of other, tempting things on Jake's menu, but the real reason for going here is the seafood. As another reviewer recently mentioned, "everything we had was very good". The four of us in our group all had different choices and we shared samples around the table. Yum! Also worth mentioning was the... More

Very good seafood and fun atmosphere. Dropped in to see if we could get in without reservations and we were able to, and they were taking reservations also. We really enjoyed our meal.

In a town full of GREAT places to eat and be entertained, a visit to Jake's is like going back to a time when service was just as important as the food, the servers are in good keep, whites are white, well groomed with a smile, and how can we make your day and meal special, with lots of please... One of the premier fish restaurants in PDX. If you tell them ahead of time that there is a special occasion they will print a menu with the event as the headline. Expensive and not huge portions but very well done.

My boyfriend and I were walking around downtown when we came upon this place. A quick google of it and we decided we had to try the food here. We aren't huge fish eaters, but after looking over the menu of fresh catches that day, we knew we both had to go out of our comfort zones, and try some... More

This is a good seafood restaurant with nice atmosphere and good, fresh Paciofic Northwest seafood. Everything we had was very good - good calamari, very good local oysters, a nice piece of steelhead, good clam chowder with a different flavor than is typical, and something I never had before, grilled razor clams. I did not find the clams as flavorful... More
