Blood orange margaritas to die for....really excellent nachos (which I rarely order), wonderful squid salad and a delightful Caesar. Need I say more? I love this happy hour menu.

We (My husband, my son, his wife and part of her family) were seeing a show at the Oregon Ballet Theatre. We wanted to have a nice small dinner before the show. When I heard it was a Latin American restaurant, I immediately thought of Mexican type food. Instead I got a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent, portions were... More

Oba is a great Latin American restaurant in the Pearl District. Dinner is good and there are many local and regional choices . The dining room gets to be loud later in the evening. We prefer the bar, which is warm and comfortable. Tapas and dinners are available in the bar. Drinks are good, don't miss the Pisco Sour!

The wife and I made a decision to try something different and had heard about this place from multiple friends, so we decided to give it a try. We had a reservation but arrived early and started in the bar area. Great vibe and atmosphere and definitely a "hot spot" in Portland! We ordered some appetizers-all of them fantastic! Additionally,... More

This is a great downtown Portland spot! Top two things to try: fresh made guac (made at the table!!) and a pitcher of margaritas (awesome options). I tried out their happy hour a couple of weeks ago. I was very impressed with the options. Their food is to die for! I have also been on the restaurant side a handful... More

We (as a company) ate here. We ordered 3 dishes with wine for everyone. It cost about 3 to 4 hours for them to serve those food. I kind of like the dessert, and others like the seafood there. However, it was just way too small and the quantity is way too slow. I went to little burger (local burger... More

I can't begin to describe how much I love this restaurant, and even the bar. Superb drinks (try the cucumber margarita), great wine selection, superior service - even when they are slammed, they are communicative, warm, and make you feel like you are the only person they are serving. BEST tableside guacamole (we always end up getting it, since my... More

We reserved a table at Oba prior to attending the performance of Dream Girls at PCS. We were seated immediately, and offered a chance to order drinks, even before our entire party arrived. When we were all assembled, our waiter promptly explained the specials and took our order for hors. Our party ordered several dishes, including the paella, the steelhead... More

With so many offering in the Pear District, Oba is literally just a face in a very large crowd. I was taken here for dinner with a business associate who lives in town. Because we came on a Saturday night, the bar was open and decided to eat there. It was loud coz they have a full house. The Yucatan pork arepas is good. I enjoyed it. My mojito is good. My nachos has too many chips on the side for the size of the cheese dip. A bit pricy for what you... More
