A great environment, decor, surrounding, atmosphere and FOOD. Loved this place, so warm and cosy, not over the top, and beautifully organized plates. They look as good as the look. Nice location in the heart of the Pearl District. Very large dining room and even larger bar, with a lot of inventive drinks that have a Latino edge to them. Friendly and attentive service which can be a little unusual for this part of town. On dishes as simple as chicken tacos and queso fundido flavors were very interesting and... More

Our waiter, when asked, recommended the halibut as being fresh and only available during a short season. So glad I took his advice as this was one of the best fish dishes I've had in a long time. Our other choices were good as well. Fun place to enjoy some interesting flavors.

Beautiful interior to this restaurant, spacious and cozy, quiet enough to have a great conversation even though it's large. I absolutely loved the ceviche, very unique—and I'm a ceviche snob. We had three different kinds of fish as a main dish, and each one was wonderful. We were with an 8 year old who was provided crayons and things to... More

The meals at Oba are great but what really stands out here are the tapas (Spanish small plates). We regularly construct our meals as a couple with five or six tapas and some great drinks. The arepas, ceviche of the day, and the queso are always decent choices.

Love this nouveau Latin restaurant. The Cesar and butter lettuce salads were great. The shrimp with polenta and halibut entrees had different flavor combinations. And the flan was also good as usual.

Not a lot of food selections for vegetarians, but the drinks are really tasty and the decor feels plush and lavish, even though the vibe is Portland-casual.

Recently visited Oba for dinner and was very impressed with the food and the service. The menu has a vast offering of items that will satisfy virtually any taste. Good drinks, apps and wine menu if small plates and drinks are the choice of the evening. Oba is now on the list as a must visit for every Portland trip.

We did were not sure what Latin fare would await us at Oba but it was lovely and tasty. The Queso fundido was great and the paella was the best I've had outside Spain. I would definitely go there again when in Portland.

Rarely when I eat out do I wake up the next morning thinking about the wonderful dinner I had before. But I did after eating at Oba's. Even though we were a 9 person group, everything we had was delicious and served timely. The mixture of flavors was unique but not too crazy. Truly excellent food!
