Jam on Hawthorne may not look like much, but like everything in Portland, looks mean little. The menu is not much to look at, but everything on it is great. The staff, who look like a happy bunch of hippies, is the best. And the drinks menu features things like "Girlfriend in a Coma" ( something like if a mimosa... More

Love this quirky gem on Hawthorne. They have fabulous food for breakfast and brunch. The menu is very extensive and interesting but everything on it tastes so good. We had people with food allergies and there was no problem finding something for everyone that they loved! I highly recommend this place.

Jams on Hawthorne came recommended by our AirBnb hostess, and it was great! The food was fabulous! We ordered the El Paso Scramble and the vegetarian Tommy's Joint wrap. Both were really wonderful and came with a load of hash browns. All was very delicious. I do suggest not getting there too close to 3:00 (closing time) because you might... More

Jam has a very interesting menu and lots of great choices. Prices are reasonable and portions are large. I was there with a girlfriend and we had hoped to visit over breakfast but Jam was so noisy that we were unable to do that. The servers were very nice but it seemed like they dropped the used dishes into the... More

If you are in this area...this is where to go for brunch or lunch. Great food, very busy with all the young hipster scene in Portland. If you want a flavor of Portlandia...go to Jam on Hawthorne and then visit the rest of the area.

We stopped in for a late breakfast/brunch. None of us had the breakfast dishes but they looked amazing with generous portions. We will definitely come back to try them. Instead, we chose the turkey wrap and Avocado BLT sandwich. Loved the turkey wrap! The BLT was pretty good but it had too much mayo on it. The atmosphere was really... More

We were in Salmon Creek/Ridgefield Washington visiting friends - two of them having moved from Hawaii and the other couple visiting from Hawaii. The transplanted Hawaiian drove us to this place for brunch on Thursday. Our friend stated that on weekends it can be very busy with line ups. This restaurant is located at the corner of SouthEast Hawthorne Boulevard... More

This place is hipstery, artsy, and kids-friendly. They even have small indoor kids playground. Kids serve with sippy cups and kids plastic forks ans spoons. Food was excellent and service was great. That's explain small line outside the door on Saturday morning. My grown-up kids are vegetarian and they had and excellent choices there.

Eggs all ways are the star of Jam's show. The bread's homemade, the fillings imaginative, and the hash browns crispy and tender all at once. Another person in our party had a corned beef reuban, and it was 2 meals in itself and absolutely delicious. The staff are a little frenetic and just a tad full of themselves, almost too... More

Had the honey ham, swiss cheese, caramelized onion scramble and it was great. Served with toast and fresh hash browns. They had many gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options as all. Wonderful service too.
