the best doughnuts ever

You never had doughnut till you had a voodoo doughnut. They only take cash so stop at the bank before you go because they have so many doughnut flavors you will want to try them all. There is always a line and bums but the doughnuts are worth it! They name their doughnuts very naughty names but... read more

This place is, well, weird. Weird is good though. If you are visiting Portland, this is one of the places you HAVE to go.

I've seen Voodoo on TV several times over the past 10 years it seems, so I had to stop when traveling through Portland. Made it here around 10 or 1030 on a Saturday, and there was hardly a line. We waited 8 minutes or so at the most. Cashiers were not friendly and were rushing everyone through by constantly shouting... More

Go for the novelty of them, not because they'll be great. Spoiler: they're not great. The doughnuts are pretty standard - but topped with whatever the Voodoo guys dream up (Cap'n Crunch, bacon, Fruit Loops...) and given giggle-worthy names. The sugar-permeated air wafts out into the street; depending on the direction of the wind, you can smell it from several... More

We figured that when in Portland, we had to try these Voodoo donuts everyone's talking about!!!The line was short, so we decided to stop in and check it out. Though they looked good and there's so many interesting-looking varieties to choose from (we tried 4 different creations), my hubby and I found the donuts way overpriced and kind of bland.... More

We laugh at the buzz around Voodoo Doughnuts, and how it is considered a destination on travel guides when coming to Portland. They do make some very delicious donuts like the maple and bacon, heart attack waiting to happen LOL and some very over the top coated donuts but not so sure its worth waiting in line for, which seems... Portland is full of food you must try, and everyone says that about VooDoo Doughnuts because its true! There was a short line when we went, it was about lunch time on a weekday, but it already smelled so good from the outside. We couldn't decide what we wanted to get, and wanted to try everything amongst a group of... More

The line itself is great entertainment! Hope you will see the zoo car and monkey man jumping out and dancing while you staying in line. People that will serve you in the place are interesting and very friendly. Bring cash! Prices are fine, the stores are fun! Doughnuts are very unusual! Try as many as you can, at list ones!

We went after going the Saturday Market at 3pm the line into this little shop was around the block! When you get inside you'll know why....the donut aroma goes at least 100' outside the door in both directions. The donut choices range from weird to fantastic chocolate combinations...Try the Maple frosted ....bacon topped ....Maple bar.

If you're visiting Portland you gotta make time for this place. Loved the creativity in doughnuts and the help the staff provided when trying to narrow down my many choices. Fill an entire box, eat them, then walk off the calories around the city. Everyone needs some Voodoo Doughnut in their life.
