Fun experience

Kids loved it, we had to go twice. Good donuts, long lines though. Open all night so that's a plus. They only accept cash, but they have a atm inside if you don't have any on hand.

Who can not like a bacon and maple bar, that has a slab of bacon on top of a light fluffy donut with maple icing? The choices here were so many and unusual we had to ask for help. They suggested the maple bacon donut which was perfect for one of us. Although I liked the bacon maple, I preferred... More

I went to Voodoo Donuts based on recommendations. Apparently this place gets long lines. When I went I was thankful there wasn't a line. I got the Portland Cream donut which is basically The Boston Cream. It was good but it would not be something I'd consider good enough to wait in a long line for. There's a variety of... More

You can't deny the taste of the donuts! They were simply wonderful. The reason for the average feedback was the staff was totally disconnected, awkward and sometimes rude. Felt like an episode of Seinfeld- "No soup for you!" You are losing your donut edge. Unique atmosphere. Every local we spoke with pointed us to another bakery across town. Customer service... More

The line for VooDoo wraps around the block if you're not early! Luckily, it's an eccelctic street that is great for people watching. Also, The "Keep Portland Weird" painted wall is across the street so it's kinda like 2fer for tourists. The donut shop is wild and crazy and fun! The donuts are so-so. I think they are heavy and... Recommend making an order of a dozen or so for pick up! You will avoid the lines and you will eat 13 no problem!

Worth seeing, it's been on TV a few times. If you're a tourist, get a T-shirt (I did). I walked in and must have caught it at low tide because 3 minutes later the line was out the door. The staff was so-so which I bet is part of the act. Also didn't seem like sanitation in food prep was... More

Although you may need to stand in line for 45 minutes to get in the door, it is well worth the wait. I enjoyed two vegan doughnuts; one was chocolate cake doughnut with a pentagram design drizzled on top, the second was a raised, chocolate glazed. Both were amazing and non-greasy. The price was right too.

It really is a tourist thing. The donuts are pretty good. But yes it is the plethora of stuff they put on them that sets them apart. Worth a wait in line? No thanks. Staff was typical, move em through and out the door rude.

The best doughnuts ever! Sometimes you have to line up - but honestly it is soooooooo worth the wait. Its my second trip back to Oregon - and this is a must. So many choices, excellent value for money.
