This was a lucky find as it we stopped in for a late dinner after a day of travel. It was just across the street from our hotel and looked interesting from the outside, so we thought we would give it a try. That was a good decision as we enjoyed an excellent dinner with attentive service. Prices were quite... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Wildwood and while my menu item sounded better than it tasted (I had mussels), I would go back again to try something else. Everyone at our table loved their food and I must admit, I am a hit and miss on liking my mussels. Next time I will try the risotto which I somehow... More

If you're in the mood for mussels, this is the place to go. Wonderful ambiance, caring service and some of the tastiest mussels I've ever had.

I was at Wildwood with a group and the menu was arranged ahead of time. It's not like ordering off the menu, but the food was wonderful. Asparagus soup (we were given the recipe), rock fish salad which sounds wierd but was really good and a raspberry tart, the crust of which melted in my mouth. I can still taste... More

Wildwood has been one of my favorite restaurants anywhere--and I mean anywhere--for nearly twenty years. Sadly, our most recent visit was disappointing. The food was good, though not as good as it once was; the service was attentive; but somehow it all felt different. Imprecise as that is, one example of "different" was the deletion from the menu of the... More

Wildwood used to be really something special where 'used' to means over 10 years ago. Since then they unfortunately seem to be coasting on their reputation. The food is decent, but nothing special. Although the service is still good.Portland has tons of great restaurants, I think it's pretty easy to do better.

We took our customer to this restaurant. Food was served fast, but clearly the right attention was given to the preparation and decoration. The servings are a good size and staff is very friendly. I had a roast beef and emmentaler sandwich, an interesting and very tasty combination.

We chose this restaurant for its rating in TA and it's proximity to our hotel. Quaint yet elegant dining without pretense. we came for appetizers and desert....we were seated immediately without a reservation...the wine list was local regional, as is the food. Appetizer list was extensive...we picked the bread plate, cauliflower soup with magic taste bud experience, and a salad... More

Went here for a business lunch on a raw Fall day. Quickly seated by a friendly hostess. Music seemed a few decibels too loud, but the server was great and returned several times to check on us. Had the oyster chowder while my colleague had a salad, and we shared an order of bread. The bread assortment was wonderful, and... More
