Talk about a "funky" Asian place with great food & music in a unpretentious, friendly, atmosphere, Dragonwell Bistro is it! Don't expect to walk into your typical Asian restaurant decorated with all the usual Asian art and lanterns or upscale fine dining. No Sir! It's called a Bistro with a Good Bar & TV, because it is. John, who appeared... More

We ate at Dragonwell Bistro before a concert at the Keller Center. It was our first time at the restaurant. It was quiet (which was nice). We were there around 5pm on a Saturday. The service was excellent. They found our reservation quickly and sat us at a table we requested. The server was very nice and helpful. He gave... More

We stumbled on this place and ran it through trip advisor and found it was highly rated. We were not at all disappointed. The food was fresh and served hot. Great complexities of flavor. We were very pleased.

We have been to Dragonwell several times but I thought I'd write a quick review since it is one of my favorite places in Portland. First of all, the Xia Long Bao is amazing (exactly like I experienced in Shanghai)! This is a must-have app if you've never tried it. For dinner we had string beans, sesame beef and General... More

We went to the Dragonwell with some reservation based on the mixed reviews. We hadn't had good Chinese food in a while and were looking forward to it. The Dragonwell did not disappoint. We had a simply wonderful meal here! Our server was attentive and personable. The food was delicious, served promptly, and piping hot. The room was very attractive... More

We went to Dragonwell Bistro late on a Tuesday evening. We had checked out TA for a decently reviewed restaurant close to our hotel and this seemed to fit the bill. The service was good. We had an interesting Joto Sake Flight which allowed us to try the differences in the Sakes. My partner ordered the Lion's Head which was... More

After two weeks vacationing in Oregon and eating at mostly craft beer pubs, we decided we wanted a little something different. Dragonwell Bistro fit the bill perfectly. Our food was flavorful and you could tell they used homemade ingredients throughout from the dumplings to the noodles. The Xia Long Bao dumplings were excellent (and unique). The service was very attentive.... More

This place was across from our hotel and we were wandering exhausted that night looking for food. The menu had all sorts of unique options and the staff were very friendly. It was not very busy the entire weekend we were in town but it should be. We shared a plate of shrimp that were cooked in green tea! It... More

This was a random dinner choice, and we could not have been happier. Dragonwell makes all of its own noodles, and the difference is marked! Chicken lo mein was fresh, light and full of vegetables and bits of chicken. The pan fried Ravioli were amazing, the dough was a delicious, and the filling flavorful. Sesame Beef was literally the best... More
