Solid experience

uper cool ambience, but my husband didn't like being "shoved next to strangers". I truly didn't mind. It felt very "Portland" to me. Food was good. I enjoyed my mac 'n cheese, and everyone at the table did too. My husband liked the variety of hot sauce options he was provided. They even had 3... read more

After this place had been bigged up by a lot of my husbands work mates, we were excited to go and try the southern style food. After a 30minute wait for a table, we were seated and given these tiny glasses of warm water. It didn't take long for us to be served and we were brought our sodas shortly... More

We have eaten here for years and it is always constantly good. Good veg. Options. They have four or five types of Mac and cheese and nice salads.

We are always happy with the food, service and atmosphere. The spold mac is my favorite, the kids love the garlic and bacon.

My daughter has chef friends in Portland who talk highly of Montage, so I took her there when I was in town. There is street parking available but it's under the highway and the neighborhood is sketchy. That said - it was an excellent meal: gator bites, crawfish étouffée (huge portion), scallop tomato linguine and miss mud pie. The price... More

The service was great and very friendly. We ordered chicken fried steaks and a Tillamook cheddar mac and cheese. The steaks came with a soup or salad. We got one of each. The roasted red pepper soup with meatballs was very good. Came out less than 5 minutes after we ordered. Our food came out less than 10 minutes after... More

Creole type food and delicious macaroni and cheese. We sat at the bar and had good service. We split the hush puppies, which were very good. I then had macaroni and cheese which was awesome, especially since you can add a variety of add-ins. They have a wide range of add-ins, even alligator. The portions were also quite large, so... Once you get over it's location (under and overpass, rundown/industrial neighborhood, homeless outside) you're rewarded by the inside. Great decorating, eclectic food options, tasty food. Make sure you save some to take home as they wrap your leftovers as a variety of tinfoil animals.

First the entertainment ... they seem to have some orchestrated attempt at 'quirky' that requires the waitresses to let out a yell when someone orders a particular dish, on this particular night the waitresses had to scream the word 'mussels' at the top of their lungs. However, this fails at all levels. It's not entertaining. It's not random. In fact,... More

If your craving bland food look elsewhere. The food here packs a flavorful punch. I'm getting ahead of myself though, so allow me set the scene! It was 9pm on a Tuesday eve and we had been at the local Games shop for the last 4 hours playing Zombies. By the time we were done we had already started into... More
