shady outside, great insdie

Once you get over it's location (under and overpass, rundown/industrial neighborhood, homeless outside) you're rewarded by the inside. Great decorating, eclectic food options, tasty food. Make sure you save some to take home as they wrap your leftovers as a variety of tinfoil animals.

First the entertainment ... they seem to have some orchestrated attempt at 'quirky' that requires the waitresses to let out a yell when someone orders a particular dish, on this particular night the waitresses had to scream the word 'mussels' at the top of their lungs. However, this fails at all levels. It's not entertaining. It's not random. In fact,... More

If your craving bland food look elsewhere. The food here packs a flavorful punch. I'm getting ahead of myself though, so allow me set the scene! It was 9pm on a Tuesday eve and we had been at the local Games shop for the last 4 hours playing Zombies. By the time we were done we had already started into... More

We ate the best mac and cheese, you can get them with pulled pork, jalapeno, garlic, bacon, not just the regular ones, really really nice:-)!! The service was great! Also try the sweet dishes, they are delicious!

Montage has only gotten better. The food is varied and excellently prepared. The waitstaff is attentive and helpful, and should there be any leftovers from your meal, it will be cleverly wrapped in foil art.

Such good food. You're not going to have any leftovers, but that is also half the fun if you do. The SPOLD mac is fantastic, my personal fav. it's in a hidden under the Morrison bridge on the east side. Hence it's nickname as "the spot". so whenever friends and I are craving some creole/Mac 'n cheese goodness we just... More

Some may not like the communal table sharing aspect of dining but the food is very good and reasonably priced. Pesto mac and cheese lived up to the hype (if you're a pesto fan); the blackened chicken was actually succulent (and I don't think I've ever used that word before in a review). Tasting other dishes did not disappoint. Drinks... More

My friends and I went out for a night on the town and were impressed by Montage. The location is a bit sketchy, but the food was great. We all had different types of macaroni and were not disappointed The service was not the best and the waiters seemed annoyed when we would ask questions. It is a very unique... More

I love mac and cheese and eat it way too often. This place has like 8 kinds of mac and cheese and none that I have tried have disappointed yet! Make sure you order enough food to have leftovers because the foil creations at the end are wildly entertaining!

From the outside, had I not been invited by other family for a birthday dinner, I would have never given this place a 2nd glance. it looks like a grungy dive bar...in a somewhat seedy part of the lower SE side of Portland, in the warehouse district, under the Morrison Bridge. Once inside, though, I was pleasantly surprised. Euro-style seating... More
