Breakfast meal to last you all day; salads special too

This is a comfortable friendly restaurant with great filling breakfast choices along with filling and tasty salads. I recently had a beet salad that was delicious, fresh, and just enough dressing. i sat at the bar so i could see everything going on in the kitchen. Good prompt and friendly service.

this was amazing! The pancakes with fresh berries, great bacon and hash browns was nothing short of amazing! Great, funky atmosphere that was really fun on the wonderful and fun Mississippi Street in cool Portland! Thanks!

Had a business meeting here, at a recommendation of a Portland local. Not too hard to find, but nothing is with a good GPS App! Loved the rustic look, and neighborhood area for this place. I had the corned-beef hash, with hashbrowns and eggs. What a great meal, but I could eat it all! Brought some home, and my son... More

No question, the best baked oatmeal (or oatmeal, period) I've ever had. The berry is outstanding. I've tried it made with soy milk as well, and it is every bit as delicious (for those dairy-free breakfast lovers).

Gravys used to be great. Recently their customer service has plummeted. Not too long ago a friend and I had finished our food and was sitting there enjoying conversion when we were approched by waiter and told that it was rude to not leave tip. I planned on leaving my tip when I left. Manager felt like it was nothing... More

I love a place that sticks to its roots - this is breakfast as it should be. Large portions that provide a meal for the rest of the day - great left overs - who doesn't like breakfast for dinner? First time we went for "brunch" at Gravy. The Bloody Mary was spicy but good. The pork chops and eggs... More

I waited an hour for brunch which is typical for Portland. And my friend and I ordered biscuits and gravy (in a place called gravy it's a must) with over easy eggs and a side of hash browns and French toast to share. The service was wonderful, the spanish coffee was very nice. But the biscuits were so dry I... More

Gravy is in a cute neighbourhood on Mississippi st. Be sure to explore other places here that are walking distance. Gravy was excellent - I had the Greco omlette and fiance had the Delise. We shared a gluten free buck wheat pancake on the side and both dishes came with shredded hashbrowns. The biscuits look amazing and we will need... More

Went for breakfast and had to wait nearly an hour. That is understandable because the food was very good. My wife and I both had leftovers as the portions were generous. The quality of the food seemed top notch. Given the long lines of people we really felt rushed by the staff and it was uncomfortable having all the people... More

The name caught my attention, and being ever curious for a new eating adventure, I popped in with a friend. We were warmly greeted and seated at a table. Menus were given and drink orders taken. We both ordered the biscuits and gravy, my friend the meat version, and I ordered the vegetable version. Our plates arrived with two huge... More
