The Prime Filet was out of this world. Could cut it with a fork! If you like seafood, the mashed potatoes with Lobster is a MUST! Its such a relaxing atomsphere.

Went with my family for my birthday. Menu was wonderful and wine list was great. We had champaign and a great merlot- 1979 Chateau Trotanoy Pomerol- plus a great desert wine - JJ Prum 2004 Graacher Himmelreich Auslese. I had a three course summer dinner of prime rib cooked medium with garlic mashed potatoes. My app was a great tasting... More

We were looking for a new-to-us steak place in Portland and RingSide came highly recommended. The steaks were indeed very good. I got the Choice filet mignon and my husband got the Prime filet mignon. I got to taste them side-by-side and I shall forevermore order Prime. It was much more tender and melt-in-your-mouth. My Choice filet was pretty good... More

I would have given Ringside a poor review however, the service somewhat made up for the lack of culinary skill. The decor is very traditional as far as steak houses go. No windows, deep wood tones, dim lighting, and a very intimate ambiance. Picture large oak barrels and wals full of wine glasses. It was winter and we were sat... More

My husband and I search out steak dinners whenever we travel to larger cities. Ringside was rated very highly and had our favorite on the menu: a bone in ribeye. So we went. First, our waiter William was amazing! Super friendly and informative. The salad dressing was very special (a house recipe) and we loved it. My husband, however, was... More

This restaurant has been in Portland since 1944 and we can understand why. The bar is friendly, has a nice ambience....active, relaxing, a bit dark and serves a good drink. Though the steaks are a bit pricey ($59.25) for a 10 oz Prime Filet, the steak was one of the best for flavor that I've had in a long time.... More

We have a bucket list of fine restaurants and this was one on our list. We made reservations for two on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Jim the bartender was efficient and polite and we found a great priced bottle of wine (which was one of our favorites). Our server was also of the same caliber. The prime rib with a... More

A little out of the centre but well worth the walk, but you can catch a bus there. The place was rather grand. service was good but most importantly the food was superb. We both had a different steak, cooked to perfection with fries and a bottle of local red wine. We figured starters would have been a bad idea... More

I have been to a lot of places but this was a Top 20 Meal. We had the seafood tower as the app. The oysters were so good, Christina brought me a few extra. She is the best server I have ever met in any restaurant. She was the difference in this being a top 50 meal and a top... More

I was up for seafood in Portland. Someone recommended Ringside on West Burnside. I went there and found out it really was a steakhouse, but they had a couple of seafood entrees on the menu. The restaurant was crowded so I took a table in the bar area. I ordered Alaskan halibut served on a very shallow bed of corn... More
