Always a favorite, but..

We always visit this Ringside when in Portland. Really excellent professional service. World class onion rings. Nice steakhouse ambience. Very good cuisine and generous portions. Only 'but' is the small selection of prime class steaks possibly due to price. Will return.

Old Portland lives and just gets better with age. Have been going for 40 years and expect great steaks in a 'steak house ' atmosphere. Always recieve what I expect at prices that are not outrageous .. if 70.00 is the new normal for fine, bone in prime meat well cooked steak. The onion rings rock .. the lobster mash... More

Good place to show off or have a fine-dining date. My wife was absolutely thrilled with her steak but I wasn't too impressed with mine. Onion rings portion was huge compared to everything else. Bread served with main course but the main course doesn't have much actual food other than your meat and side. Waiter and staff were all awesome... More

Classic American steakhouse with prime meat. The - rear - cooking I asked for was perfect which not so usual in the US. The wine list is absolutely amazing. If you enjoy great wines and not afraid about the prices, just go there.

This is the second time I have been to Ringside, and it did not disappoint. They have been consistent on both visits and offer superb cuts of meat with excellent service.

I may not be a fair judge of this place because I was born and raised in the midwest on a farm. The beef is not any better than you can buy from any Portland grocer. Their prime rib is just average quality beef soaked in butter. The prime steaks are supposed to be aged and high quality, they are... More

The Ringside has been a Portland staple for as long as I can remember. Famous for it's onion rings especially but the prime rib is not to be scoffed at. It's dark and cosy inside and has valet parking and professional waiters. The usual Steakhouse sides are there too like creamed spinach. The Ringside is just the kind of place you... More

Very busy restaurant, but staff made sure we were sat in a reasonable time frame approximate to my reservation. Server was good, but the table was nearly cafeteria close your neighbor. Food was solid, but expensive. I enjoyed my steak, but I was definitely paying for atmosphere. Steak was just over $50 with side. It was a little overdone for... More

From the time you enter, you immediately are welcomed by the staff. They are dressed very formal. We were there early and got the "special". For $39.95 we each had salad, surf and turf with garlic mashed potatoes, glass of wine and crème broulle. They have complimentary valet parking. The waiter staff was right on the ball. We no more...
