I'm in the airline business and travel to Portland several times a year. I started have breakfast here eight years ago. It's a quirky fun place to eat. Jeb his sister Comfort know me. Food is tasty albeit ain't cheap. Breakfast will cost you $15 with the tip. The food and atmosphere is worth it. Be careful and pay attention... More

This is the second time we have visited the Byways Cafe. Again, we were not disappointed. The wait staff was fabulous, although the young lady busser was a bit standoffish. The food was fabulous, worth the drive in. My daughter had the Napa burger and called it "heaven on a bun!". Great food, great prices. We'll go back when visiting... More

This is a wonderful breakfast cafe and always has a healthy option available. Today I had the fruit bowl. Loaded with fruit and topped with yogurt, dried cranberries and slice nuts. Special treat. Go early as this popular place gets packed.

The service was impeccable and the food was great as well. Menu selections are diverse and appetizing. Portions are healthy and you will not leave hungry. I believe all their omelettes are made with three eggs, joy! Mine came with potatoes and toast. Everything was great and from order to service was expected time.

I had a fantastic lunch here on my way in to town. Small and quaint little place. The Rueben & potato salad are made in-house and well worth the trip. If you're downtown for business and can walk a couple blocks, you need to give this one a try.

We came to the byways cafe after seeing a segment on drive ins, diners and dives. It's a small dinner with excellent food. I had the three day weekend which consisted of biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, potatoes , all which were very good. My husband had pancakes which tasted good but he prefers them a bit thinner. The cafe... More

We walked around for about an hour on Labor Day morning looking for a place that was open for brunch. Walked past a Spanish fusion place that seemed a bit too hoity-toity. Stumbled upon Byways and stuck around for about a 15 minute wait. It was just what we needed. Tiny place, food made from scratch (including my husband's biscuits... More

Food is outstanding!!!! Very small place so keep that in mind. Very difficult to seat large parties, we were 7, and had a very long wait. Definitely worth it though. We all had the scrambles, and all were equally excellent. Services was fun and quick, and all the wait staff were pleasant and helpful. Definitely a place to try on... More

This place is funky and walks the line of being tacky which makes it one of my favourite brunch spots. Food is fantastic, great service...all in all gets a 10/10 from me! Was reviewed on DDI from the food channel and also got his vote. Try the house specials...the infused french toast is to die for. You will not be... More

We ate here for lunch just walking by and tried it. So glad we did. Loved the decor, felt like we walking back in time, think 1950s. Nice lunch selection for all different palates to try. I had the "Sonoma," a lovely looking and great tasting chicken salad. My friend had a chicken sandwich, which she tasted wonderful. Large portions,... More
