Yummy breakfast!

A couple raved about this restaurant having great breakfast. I have to agree, it was delicious. I ordered the special, which was a corn pancake with savory cheese and I wish my stomach was bigger. I couldn't eat it all. It's small and packed. My advice is to get their early. Service is pretty... read more

This place is great for breakfast or lunch and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We greatly enjoyed all aspects of the meal and would definitely recommend to other visitors. However, they do get quite busy so show up early.

We had heard about this restaurant and sought it out on our recent trip to Portland. It is a small homey cafe, with lots of fun memorabilia on the walls. The staff are friendly and effiicient and the food is reasonable and very tasty. They made us feel like we were back at home. I was pleased to find a... More

The Byways Café is not to be missed. We ate their twice during a recent visit and enjoyed outstanding breakfasts. The blue corn pancakes are a must have and the corned beef hash is exceptional. Service is prompt and friendly. A wonderful spot for breakfast or lunch.

Nice old fashioned interior, homey. Good breakfast menu with ample portions and service was wonderful. Tables outside too. Well attended.

We were so happy with our choice to dine at the Byways Cafe. Our server was friendly and delightful. The ricotta pancakes may have been the best pancakes we have ever eaten and the breakfast scramble was also delicious. It is a cute, quirky little spot that is sure to please.

My husband and I LOVED our brunch at Byways Cafe. We had a veggie scramble along with the French Toast. The portion sizes were large, and both dishes were delicious. We sat at the bar and enjoyed chatting with the friendly staff during our brunch. We definitely recommend a stop here for a great Portland brunch.

We happened upon this cafe while traveling and at a nearby laundromat - TA reviews sent us there for breakfast. It was very good and reasonably priced. Very large portions. I had their main combo of 1 egg, bacon and 3 huge blueberry pancakes cooked to perfection. My husband had eggs over biscuits and gravy and said it was really... More

Wonderful selection of menu items at a small diner/café. Five of us had lunch with Rueben sandwich, beef melt, tuna melt, spinach salad and club sandwich. The portions were generous and delicious. I enjoyed the cream asparagus bisque the best.
