Food is outstanding!!!! Very small place so keep that in mind. Very difficult to seat large parties, we were 7, and had a very long wait. Definitely worth it though. We all had the scrambles, and all were equally excellent. Services was fun and quick, and all the wait staff were pleasant and helpful. Definitely a place to try on... More

This place is funky and walks the line of being tacky which makes it one of my favourite brunch spots. Food is fantastic, great service...all in all gets a 10/10 from me! Was reviewed on DDI from the food channel and also got his vote. Try the house specials...the infused french toast is to die for. You will not be... More

We ate here for lunch just walking by and tried it. So glad we did. Loved the decor, felt like we walking back in time, think 1950s. Nice lunch selection for all different palates to try. I had the "Sonoma," a lovely looking and great tasting chicken salad. My friend had a chicken sandwich, which she tasted wonderful. Large portions,... More

My corned beef was served with a scrumptious horseradish spread, & potato salad with bacon is just cheating. Turkey, bacon, avocado also yummy. Side green salad was a delightful surprise; big and fresh! I appreciate the cleanliness too.

Our first morning in Portland, we went to the Byways Cafe based on TA reviews. We walked in and were seated right away. Our server was friendly, I think his name was Chip. The place had a warm neighborhood feeling and I could see how this place would be someone's regular breakfast and or lunch spot. It's decorated with vintage... More

We just happened upon Byways Cafe when searching for a breakfast spot on our last morning in Portland. What a great find!! Everything was extremely fresh, the coffee was excellent, they had gluten free bread for gluten free me and the service was quick and very friendly. This is a must for a quick, delicious breakfast.

We waited about 15 minutes to get a table on a Saturday morning (not a big deal) but then once we ordered it took over 40 minutes to get our food. Once we got our food, it was hit or miss. The oj (fresh squeezed) was great and the coffee so so. The home fried potatoes and toast were good... More

Just wait to be seated. It's busy with locals and others but sure worth the waiting. Had an omelette and pancakes, superb quality. Great staff. Very kind. Hidden treasure. Will be back soon!

This diner was recommended by someone on the street, and we decided to take the advice. We were there for a late lunch and so we were the last ones to leave. This is a small place, but we were quickly offered a booth by one of the friendly waiters. The menu is mainly burgers and sandwiches. They come with... More

I come here for just the hash...the other dishes are probably tasty but when I do come I always order the hash. Check the times that they have the breakfast/brunch menu because thats the only time they serve it. also it was even on Triple D on tv I think!
