I come here for just the hash...the other dishes are probably tasty but when I do come I always order the hash. Check the times that they have the breakfast/brunch menu because thats the only time they serve it. also it was even on Triple D on tv I think!

Great, friendly service. I loved the Americana decor - with plates and license plates from all the US states and 50s diner era pie stands, chairs, stools, milk machines... etc. The breakfast was to die for. It was HUGE and amazing.

We had to leave town on a Saturday morning and tried to put our names on a couple of brunch places recommended by travel books and had no luck getting a seat for over an hour wait. We decided to start our trip out of town when we saw a sign for this cozy restaurant near the Pearl district and... More

We loved this little place with big taste! It is mostly sandwiches (named after Oregon destinations) but they are designed and made with a lot of consideration! They use good ingredients; some menu items even tell you what farm the grass fed beef comes from! I had the Multnomah Melt and it was so good! Very casual vibe; it looks... More

This diner has it all, great pancakes, coffee that keeps pouring, amazing omelets, whatever you order, sit back the portions are large and you will not want to skip a single bite!

Not sure why these are not a staple on the menu instead of a special but they are fantastic. Love this place for breakfast.

The Byways Cafe came highly recommended from several sources, so on our recent trip to Portland, we went there for breakfast as we had a long day of meetings ahead of us. The service was excellent. Not only prompt, but extremely friendly and outgoing. We ordered breakfast and it came out quickly and was enormous. In true diner fashion, the... More

This is a great little eatery for breakfast or lunch. Great burgers and sandwiches, great breakfasts. It's small, so there may be a wait on weekends.

We had breakfast at the Byways about two years ago, so today we went for lunch with friends. We all got sandwiches for various sorts (I had the turkey club) and all got good reviews and all were quite large. Sandwiches come with a choice of fries or salad (and maybe something else I can't remember). We all got side... More

Stopped here for it's retro appeal and it didn't disappoint - the decor is 40's-50's diner - lot's of cheesy items that you would pick up on a family vacation. Service was excellant - literally let the waitress bring us what she thought was good. I had the Hash - very large serving and was ok - i've had better,... More
