We tried the 'earn' cold yogourt drinks, the Tabouli salad and Shawarma lamb dish. All good and served promptly. We will return!

We have been twice, 2 years apart. We love the very fresh middle eastern food. The room is fairly small but beautifully decorated and the staff very friendly. We would have eaten here more if there weren't so many other great choices in Portland.

Karam is my favorite restaurant in Portland. A visit there is incomplete without a meal with these wonderful folks. Every item on the menu I've tried is fantastic. The food is truly divine... if you are a foodie looking for something off the beaten path, this is your spot! The restaurant itself is lovely, and the wait staff are friendly,... More

This was the best meal during our stay at Portland. Service was great and the food was scrumptious, even the kids enjoyed the experience.

I came here last night with my wife and 2 kids and the food was great! The staff were nice, attendant, and fast serving, I was very happy with their service. The food was on time and the chicken was moist and very tender; even my kids liked it and they are picky eaters! My family loved how authentic, clean,... More

Having just relocated from Dubai to the United States, the family was craving Lebanese food. During a short trip to Portland, we stumbled on Karam Restaurant and decided to give it a try. We sampled all of our favorite dishes: Shish taouk, Taboule, Fatoush, hummus, Baba Ganouj and finished with some Baklava.....we were brought back to the middle east !... More

We were fortunate to find Karam Restaurant on a recent visit during Portland's Rose Festival. Inside seating looked inviting, but we decided to eat outside (sidewalk seating), and were glad we did. It was a bit like a European vacation: enjoying delicious food with relaxed, but attentive service, while viewing local culture. We nibbled our way through Pumpkin Kibbee -... More

I haven't had middle eastern foo in a long time so this was definitely a treat. We shared a few plates. Lots of food, excellent naan and I found a new favorite in the rose soda. Thinking about this meal is making me hungry. :) Service was very abrupt and not super friendly- maybe a cultural thing and didn't bother... More

Not all Mediterranean restaurants are equal, not in quality and not referencing geography. Karam has Syrian-inspired cuisine, which departs a bit from others in the same general category. The servings are ample, the quality of the food is very good. The service is fine.
