Tasty Delight

Went with a group after a seminar one evening. The food was delicious! Service and timing were good. I will definitely return.

We went on a Saturday evening around 8 and had to wait a bit, this place is somewhat small and busy--for good reason. Noticed a lot of people coming in simply for coffee or a quick appetizer or dessert, while others did big family style meals. Since this was our first time we shared a Meat Mezza plate and a... We ordered a wide variety of meat and vegetarian dishes and nearly everything exceeded our expectations. Very happy family who will be back for more, especially since we have yet to try the desserts.

While visiting Portland, OR we ate dinner at Karam. There were more choices than most Lebanese or middle Eastern restaurants. I enjoyed having the artichoke stew on a cold evening. Large portions and well prepared food made it worth the price.

We found this place while out exploring Portland and decided to give it a try. Being vegetarian and having both gluten and nut allergies, popping in somewhere without research first is usually tough. We were pleasantly surprised with Karam. Many vegetarian and vegan options and the best gluten free pita bread! Absolutely delicious food and good service (one waiter was... More

The food, the atmosphere, the welcome! Hospitality and service do not get any better than what I received when I walked through the doors of Karam! Wadie and Majdoline have created a magical place with their restaurant Karam Lebanese & Syrian Cuisine! All I can say is well done and thank you! I'll definitely return for an encore!

We went here with Portland relatives, and were very well pleased. I chose the chicken fatte platter--layers of grilled chicken, eggplant, chick peas and pita: excellent. The (middle-aged) waiter lightly scolded my (middle-aged) nephew for arriving late--but it was amusing, and seemed to make all of us part of the family.

I love Lebanese food, and I try to go to all possible Lebanese restaurants in the PDX area. The atmosphere at Karam was good, however, the food.. not even close to what I have tried and liked so far... It was my first and also the last time at this restaurant. The only thing I would recommend to try is... More

Had dinner here several times during our stay and it did not disappoint. Food is very authentic so it may not be for everyone. A place to try a variety of Lebanese foods, all good. Portions are good sized but this restaurant is all about the authentic food. We loved it, had been to the old location and like this... More

It's been a while since we visited Karam. We used to go to the original location downtown (near Huber's) pretty regularly, but after they were forced to move, we "lost touch". We did once go to the related restaurant (Zaatar, in the Pearl), but found their selection a little less appealing (and quite a bit more expensive), so we were... More
