Although location near streetcar stop and menu looked nice, main dishes were way too salty. We did like starter and the sorbet ice for desert,

When previous dinner plan's fell thru, a local friend took me to Paley's because having been there many times, she knew it was a guaranteed hit! Located in what looks like a renovated home, this cozy location is great for an intimate dining experience where the conversation is just as important as the menu. But the menu is mouthwatering...so you'll... More

Had a large party dine here recently. They took excellent care of us, for being a large party. We did have an issue with different courses being brought out to different people at different times. Food was exceptional and highly priced but you knew this going in. Complements to the chef!

My husband and I have no complaints about this restaurant. Our experience was awesome. Service was not pretentious. The value for the price was right on point. Portion size was perfect. The food was delicious and super flavorful. Oysters were outstanding! We also had a cheese plate, house cured meat, and a salad. My husband had an outstanding steak and... More

The food is good and local so the menu changes from time-to-time. What I really like is that many of their entrees are offered in both half and full portions. And the half portions are really good-sized. The lamb is delicious. The wine list is extensive with lots of Oregon wines. We went early on a Sunday night so service... More

Only a relative small restaurant that looks like someones living room. Service sometimes a bit slow but it was busy. Food was very nice and they had a nice wine slection. We enjoyed our dinner here. Had been to Paleys before but will come back next time. One of the best restaurants in Portland.

We had very high expectations of this restaurant from what we read (on the internet, in a guide book). This restaurant is not worth the money. The best thing we had to eat was the bread and the butter that was softened before serving. The wine list is totally overpriced (and deceptive upon reading). The basic vinagrette for a green... More

Although I have been to Portland many times I had never been to Paley's Place. I had dinner there during my stay and it was excellent. The rooms are lovely, the staff very well trained and accommodating and the food was excellent. Our server was not only knowledgeable, but really polite and helpful. I had soft shell crabs and that... More

We walked in off the street, since we were staying at the Inn at Northrup Station next door and had spent the day riding bikes in the rain at the Columbia River Gorge. We were just happy to be warm and dry. But then we started tasting the food and truly content set in. The staff was wonderful as was... More
