Wonderful bakery/bistro in a great neighborhood

Authentic french bakery and bistro in upper Nob Hill neighborhood. Great energy matched by exquisite pastries, sandwiches, coffee and people. Bistro tables inside and out. If outside, under the veranda to protect against the rain (which is frequent). Great, laid-back part of the city. After eating... read more

Perhaps it was just a bad day. I was excited to try their almond croissant after reading all the reviews. There is nothing like biting into a buttery layered croissant stuffed with almond paste - a memory I hang onto from France - this however was not the case. It was dry. Really dry. The croissant had been sliced open... More

By far one of my favorite places to eat in Portland and they have a few locations. I stay close to one of the locations so its a easy walk for my morning Almond Crossiants with a cafe au lait, my favorite breakfast! There is so much more to choose from apple flan, sandwiches and quiche. Is not just the... More

Had a wonderful lunch here, after every Portland friend we know recommending this place. Sandwiches and pastries were delicious. We bought a c of different pastries to try, and almost all wetter wonderful. Strangely enough, the only thing that wasn't amazing were the croissants. They were dry and overcooked. A bit closer to cardboard, and not at all flaky or... More

Their Kouign Amann is tops. As good as any we've had anywhere. Whenever we're in the area we call ahead to ask if they've made some that day. Addictive. They go so well with a cup of good black coffee.

Truly an authentic Parisian experience in Portland. Just the cases of breads and pastries says it all. Enjoyed the soup with quiche. Very rich, couldn't finish. Whenever in Portland, OR, this is the place for a little bit of Paris.

My wife and I have visited our daughter in Portland the past three years. We discovered St. Honore Bakery our first trip and it has been a staple for us ever since. We stop in each morning for a coffee and pastry. They have an Apple Normandy that I particularly like. It reminds me of bread pudding with cooked apples.... More

We loved everything we got at the restaurant. I got the Croque Madame which was a delicious brunch sandwich but oddly came with field greens. My husband got a pastry which almost like a chicken pie. We also tried a hazelnut chocolate pastry which was to die for! I would gladly come back just for the hazelnut pastry. We got... More

I got the quiche because my tour guide mentioned they had them & I'd missed the menus & a huge line suddenly was behind me! It came with a very small side of lettuce but the quiche was a very good portion size! I was told the chef is some whoop dee doo chef so I was told to try... More

Excellent lattes! The raspberry croissant was okay. I was expecting the raspberries to be baked into the croissant. The quiche was very good. And the Oregon berry tart & chocolate dacquoise were amazing. Unlike the previous reviewer, I didn't find the staff to be pretentious, just extremely laid back & friendly. Enjoy!
