Convenient to everything and very tasty food

It isn't inexpensive, but boy is it worth it! Everything is prepared with care and absolutely the best quality local ingredients. The service is wonderful and the overall atmosphere makes a meal here a special treat.

While breakfast was hearty, well-prepared and delicious, the service was marred by having a server who seemed to think she was in some way superior to the guests. Other servers were friendly as was the hostess.

This is the second year that my partner, his parents and myself have gone to the Heathman for Christmas brunch. I can't say enough what a nice exprrience it is. The staff is always so kind and helpful. The brunch is fun. I don't eat meat but I always have an unlimited array of salads and fruit, etc. Love it:)

My husband & I selected the Heathman as a special place for dinner on our 50th Anniversary in November. Family members had celebrated with us earlier when everyone gathered for vacations. When I made the dinner reservation I commented that it would be our 50th Anniversary. Our dinner consisted of two entrees, beverages and dessert. We would have liked some... More

I took my girlfriends and their 3 year olds to afternoon tea on a random Monday afternoon. It was good, the tea court was pretty empty with only two other tables seated and the setting was pretty. The tea plate and hot chocolates for the toddlers were received with much enthusiasm and the standard spread of yummy food choices for... More

The hotel is lovely and very centrally located. The public areas are well maintained, but the hallways are in need of sprucing up. The rooms themselves are charming, well appointed and beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are compact. The A/C in our room did not work when we arrived, but was promptly fixed when we complained. The dining room was... More

We had dinner with friends at the Heathman and we all commented how this restaurant has maintained its fine standards for more than 20 years. The braised ribs were superb and the double pork chop was moist and flavorful and the accompanying beans were terrific.

Once a month a friend and I go out to breakfast, but for the month of December, we try to pick a restaurant that is extra special and this year I picked the Heathman Restaurant. I have to mention they also have a "high Tea" for the month of Dec., I've gone before and it does not disappoint. Now back... More

Never disappointed here. Unlike elsewhere in PDX where the chefs often won't make substitutions (yes really - hard to believe) this restaurant works to please. Last night had divine lamb chops cooked to perfection and chef substituted a side dish so it was my idea of a perfect meal. Check menu online as it changes often. I avoid the back... More
