You should NOT be able to taste that prawns were previously frozen. If they weren't, then I guess they were simply gross. Not nearly enough vegetables in any of their dishes, either, and the ones present are overcooked and flavorless. I had Pad Thai, basically, and it had next to no veggies in it. Plus they have this smug, ridiculous... More

It's been way too long since we went out to this restaurant. We love this restaurant as our must go Thai in PDX. Never disappointed by their food and the environment. Must go!

Time and time again Lemongrass delivers. As pointed out by other reviewers, Portland has a ton of Thai restaurants. Simply put, nothing comes close to Lemongrass. Everything is fresh, everything is full of flavor, and you can customize it yourself with their spice scale. Please believe them when they tell you, it can get HOT. Great people, great food. So... what a happy accident. I typed in "Thai restaurant" into the map of my smartphone and this place popped up. When I got to the corner of NE Couch St and NE 17th Ave, I thought that I was lost. Then I saw a beaming group of guests coming down the front steps of an old Victorian house and spotted... More

Portland has a LOT of Thai restaurants. This one is a distinct hidden gem. The menu is a little more limited than other places, but you won't miss any of the staples. It's flavorful, fresh, & incredibly tasty. Trust the folks on their spice scale. Their mild is a regular medium. If you love Thai food, give this one a... More

the food is very good, especially the curry. salad rolls are nondescript. but, the surly waiter who should find a different profession, makes the experience less than enjoyable. he just doesn't have time to be nice.

Friends suggested we grab dinner here a few Fridays ago. I live reasonably close, but had no idea this place existed! The restaurant is housed in an old, Portland house. Entry leads you into the foyer, and you are led to seating on the main floor of the house, through the French doors. We were seated towards the back, and... More

Wow. We found Lemongrass Thai to be really tasty. The lettuce leaf appetizer was out of this world. The combination of favors (lime, ginger, coconut, etc) was so good. You have to try it! Don't bother with the salad rolls. They were common and bland. The yellow Indian curry was my favorite curry. Lots of veggies. Really outstanding! Their Thai... More

I got the chicken noodle pho soup, and it was a HUGE bowl! They also give you a little plate of mung bean sprouts for you to put into the soup, it was awesome. But the chopsticks were made of plastic so it was harder to eat since the noodles slipped off of the sticks :P
