Food is still good at Dots from what I remember from years ago. It has changed owners since my last visit, however the atmosphere has not changed much at all. It has always been a very dark "hole in the wall" type of place, where the building leans a bit to the west (literally). Great service and the food was... More

I've got a soft sport for Dots. My wife and I went on our first date there almost 18 years ago. (Oh wow that's a while ago) I've heard that the dark cave of a restaurant/bar one the corner of SE 25th and Clinton has survived fires and I know they changed ownership at least once, probably more times. The... More

Working at a restaurant can be a crap job and I can sympathize but I have never had a someone be as rude and terrible to me here. With a small group of people I stepped to the other quiet, empty side of the restaurant to answer an important phone call instead of stepping out in the rain. The bartender... More

Very family friendly. The service was excellent and plenty of food (way more than we could eat!) Be sure to order the cheese fries - one order is enough for the entire table to share. Also, people in our group raved about the clam chowder.

I'm a fan of these little places and when I come to a city, I call on friends to show me around. They almost always have a "place" Dots cafe was no exception to that rule. I met with some friends in Portland from the Clinton area and they took me here, I ordered the Burrito Bowl and Oh my... More

This place is a classic! They have had a couple fires which would have ended the life of most hole in the wall dive bar's with food. Not Dot's, they march on. The place is much cleaner then back in the day, but some things are still really good. Here is my list of what's really good and its not... More

More of an adult kind of environment but kids can attend. The foods pretty good and the environment is definitely hip.

I have been going to Dots for years. The food is ok, the service is hit or miss. Last time I went we had to get up and ask for our check after waiting and waiting. We did not see much of our server.

I still just adore Dots. It still has the same super cool yet unpretentious feel that it has for almost 20 years. Cozy up in a glittery booth and marvel at the black velvet painting collection while ordering from the perfect mix of nice cocktails, choice microbrews or a basic PBR. Do yourself a favor and get some Bacon Cheddar... More
