very happy

We were very happy with this place. Arrived in Portland and the food carts were shutting down. They were close and we got in. We sat upstairs which might have been a little quieter. Nice wine. My friend loved her soup. The noodle dishes we had were just right and the cucumber salad was to... read more

We ordered a chicken green curry and a shrimp Pad Thai. Portions were generous but both had too much (Palm) sugar. I know this is the taste developed in North America but it is not mine and they don't unbalance the dishes like that in Thailand. Too bad because the restaurant has a nice ambiance and my shrimps were good... More

Hard to find (good luck with getting off of Burnside if you are heading west!), but enjoyed all of our dishes AND the delicious tamarind whiskey sour. Authentic food & people, if a little bit casual. Fun interior, fun descriptions of food in the restaurant, and quality drink ingredients. My entire family (including my Thai-born children) agreed it was far... More

We ate here on a whim, because we were tired and in the Pearl District already. So, this was the only place open early for dinner. It was really good! The crispy calamari melted like butter and the spicy sweet and sour sauce was excellent. Someone got a spicy peanut dish that was out of this world, another go a... More

After a gourmet meal at another Portland restaurant last night, we wanted something simple and tasty near our hotel. We used TravelAdvisor and decided on Thai Peacock: we were not disappointed. Excellent service and fresh, tasty food. It is definitely or our list of restaurants to re visit.

Made a spontaneous trip to Portland with my husband and came across this place and decided to stop. Really glad we made the decision. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, prompt and an absolute joy to work with. We ordered Curry and Thai Basil Chicken, and it is some of the most authentic we have found in the states. The... Thai Peacock is delicious! Hit them up for lunch definitely and you won't be disappointed. Good portions and good prices and fresh food! Had chicken curry, fried rice, spring rolls, and they were all yum! The only complaint is that our server was a bit unfriendly woman. Never cracked a smile and not very nice. Just basically took the order... More

I come to Portland twice a year and make sure to stop by here at least once every time I am in Portland. The pineapple fried rice is delicious, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff is very friendly. Oh and a side of peanut sauce is definitely worth trying!

we dropped in after shopping at Powell's. I ordered the #61 Pad Ma-Maung and my wife had the #20 (cabbage, onions tofu and glass noodles). The bottom floor was packed. Service was a bit slow, but not for others. Not sure why. But, the food was delicious and price, including two teas, was $22. Great find!
